This is impressive. After 35 yrs since the Vietnam War ended, the country has managed to catch up to the Philippines in a short period of time. This master plan and vision with a target date of 2030-2050 puts the Philippines to shame with no concrete plans in place to transform Manila (the country continues to lag).
if we want hanoi to be like that, we all have to try and make hanoi as well as vietnam better. Please dont just sit there complain and hope for that.
And about cultural heritage, we can try to surround historical areas and make it green parts, which only allow people to walk around or use bicycles, because we dont only have to follow modern world, but we have to go green also.
@JoeLe3005: PPJ also made emphasises in the masterplan to protect the Old Quarter, Thang Long Citedal and other historical buildings. However, for some reason it didn't make into this clip. What a pity.
Wow!!
I agreed with LivingHaoi1000. The design is beautiful, but culturally not appropriate for VN with thousand years of its history. This design would make Hanoi no different from any other modern cities of developed world. The design swept out all cultural heritage of Vietnam, not mentioning the unique of Hanoi. Where is our identity in this clip? Does anyone care?
Chẳng biết đang quy hoạch HN dở có dừng lại vì lý do j ko nhỉ?
Where is Hanoi? There is absolutely no reference to Vietnamese architecture, people, ways of city life, or the City of Hanoi itself. The images show people in factories and shopping in global department stores, with cars sliding over uncongested highways, but nothing of the street life and sensibilities of Hanoians. Why? All the places appear to be low density, private and gated for elites. Where will the vast majority of people of lesser income live? Where are the farmers being displaced?
@LivingHanoi1000: The clip could refer a little more to the culture of Hanoi. You are absolutely right. The beginning with the flashback and the dragon was the first step. During the animation, the images kinda look like they could be in any city. The music could be also a Vietnamese orchestra. The could show also the Old Quarter. The last image (in my opinion) was not epic enough, very random. I wish they would have shown the Turtle Tower, so that Hanoians can better identify with the rest.
