you can remove it from XP. start menu- control panel-accessibility-(sticky Keys)settings- and uncheck use shortcut. now take that back. and vista sux because it runs like a three legged dog on the same hardware as xp. it cant do anything xp cant if you know where to get the xtra toys on the net and it's still not as compatible with everything like xp is. the only real advantages the networking is more streamlined, other than that it's not so great.

A person has an issue with their computer and they immediately point the finger at the assembler of the computer. There's more to the issues a person has with a computer than just the manufacturer of the "Laptop," one would consider all the aspects of the components involved whom manufactured the internal components as well.

I have an ALMOST EXACT copy of this laptop. The only difference between mine and this one is that this one has a webcam (mine was also made by Acer) and I got mine for about $200 less.

I have to say that, as an overall tech geek, this laptop gives pretty good performance for its price. Even the Aero features of Vista work like a charm.

1 GB. i have the stripped-down Eastern-European version of this, 5101. It's basically the same notebook but without the built-in webcam, less ram and HDD space but it's still a pretty cool laptop :D
