Years later, people begin to think about the murderer and forget about the victim and the result is we feel they should be released. The brutal nature of the crime is being met with a life sentence which is the deal Susan Atkins took when she murdered those people some forty years ago. The only reason she and the others did not get a death sentence is because there was a moratorium at the time she was sentenced. She got the better end of the deal that she dished out to her victims. I did plenty of drugs as a youngster and never killed anyone. I am always amazed at how people find Jesus and use "Charlie" or drugs as their excuse for unjustifyably saying "woman, I have no mercy for you" right before they kill. It's only when they get caught and are inprison that Jesus finds them even tho he was years late in doing so since Jesus could have saved lives from horror in that night.
