  • @omgah4cker

ok then.. why you even looking at this or any other video if you think they suck?

because I don't think it sucks at all, only device I think sucks is the Iphone/Ipod. (no offense apple fans)

because theres no variety its just do you want 8GB or 16GB? while Android/Windows you can have a small phone, big phone, or cheapie phone.

  • @vgamesx1 i didn't said ur video sucks , and for me windows mobile and ios sucks

  • nevermind ,i found the download, now it says "an internal error has ocured".......fml

  • thanks for not posting the link to download remote desktop

    jerk

  • this shit skips steps like a motherfucker

  • Hey I didn Understand anything..Can you give me some other links... for help

  • can i do it without router?

  • wtf you don't help at all , this video sucks you should have more details in the video , no one will understand this shit

  • WTF dude, do you know anything about this? What you did was an internal connection, not a VPN.

Every 192.168.1.xxx (or 172) are router IP, which means INTERNAL network.

To connect to a VPN you need a public IP adress, which is very difficult to setup for people with dynamic IP adress. From your router -> to your computer, you get an internal IP, in the other hand FROM your router to the outside there you get a public IP.

You should've put more attention in your tech class.

  • @rugalck You clearly fail, he is correct... He used port forwarding (also known on some routers as Virtual Servers) on his router so that when he enters his WAN IP Address it will forward it through to his Internal IP. VPN is a completely different aspect which he does not mention. This is only RDP over the internet. VPN is connecting to the entire internal network using an internet connection.

  • @tomrogers90 It's useless without a VPN.

  • @rugalck No it is not... you do NOT need a VPN to setup RDP over the internet. I RDP all the time from my mobile to my home computer while i'm away if i need to do something.

  • @tomrogers90 I didn't say that it can't be done without a VPN. I said it's useless, learn how to read.

  • @rugalck how is it useless? yes, it's easy to access other network resources with a VPN... but this is purely for people who want to RDP to their home desktop and work on that nothing else... Most home networks do not have a VPN set up!

  • its not working for me -um i have a westell model 7500 from verizon it s router--a phone from tmobile n thats the htc-hd2-windown-n cpu - xp pro edition--need help

  • That's Windows Man..that's computers XD

  • THIS VIDEO SUCKS!! it doesnt help....

  • it work!s

  • it says your computer is not setup for this i work on windows 7

  • @shboul I have windows 7 too. You have to go into computer> up top click system properties> remote settings> allow connections from computers running any version of remote desktop(less secure)

That should work if not make sure if your on the same wifi connection use ur local network.

  • if your phone is on the same wifi network, you can use your local ip address instead (192.168.x.x)

  • you are using dell eyefinity i think in this video.

so you should have high-end gaming PC

  • I have Same everything as you, including router, but first, if i do over 3g it says, cannot connect over current connection settings, and if i do it over wifi it says, 1. there is a conflict between blah blah 2. you are not connected 3. your router is an error.

  • type in ip what???

  • does not work on my HD2

  • @fuzzy21uk Same, first, if i do over 3g it says, cannot connect over current connection settings, and if i do it over wifi it says, 1. there is a conflict between blah blah 2. you are not connected 3. your router is an error.

  • dosnt work with me any ideas?

  • dude.... linksys definately doesnt look "similar" or "somewhat the same".. Not even close to netgear. So Im lost after you get there. Good vid other than that though.

  • What if we are tethering from a G1.... How do we edit the port fowarding?

  • you have to be on the same network :(

  • @blakeazimmerman yeh its pretty anoying isnt it, i want to be able to go on my computer over 3g while im at college

  • what do i do if I have a proxy server?

  • link?

  • what do I put in the DOMAIN box??

  • I get this error message...

    Cannot connect, Likely reasons are:

    1. The remote computer is not set up for this

    2. Reached the maximum number of connections

    3. A Network error occurred while connecting

    ???

I only have this one port forwarding...and I followed all the directions in this video to the T...btw I have a Samsung Intrepid...can anyone help??

  • Yeah, I am getting the same thing. I followed the instructions as well. Can't figure out what's going on. :(

  • @HoodedQobra i got same prob know how to fix it?

  • Seems to be a lot of confused people who don't even recognize their own phones.

The first one is hard to see cause it could be a diamond or a touch pro, they basically got the same front. The second one is NOT a touch pro 2 its a touch hd

  • Sorry my router address

  • when i type my IPv4 in my toolbar a get an Address not found message!!Plz help

  • how can i get this program?

  • its cool. but what good is it if u can't connect to your desktop from outside ur own network

  • what should i add in the Password line or Username ?? or Domain

  • can you use this on the touch pro 2 ?

  • hm... it works fine for me.

  • This vid is pure bullshit. He doesn't even talk about all the dealings with dyndns (1 option) to get this working. The most difficult and important instructions weren't included.

  • Tru

  • He's using 2 different HTC phones!

Compare the phones from somewhere around: 0:30 to 3:30.

  • Who cares? moron.

  • He using HTC Touch Pro 2 later on in the video.

He must have thought, hey why not upgrade and do it.

  • im not sure if its the htc touch pro 2, it does not have buttons nor a windows key..and all versions have the same type of front keys

  • not a touch pro 2

  • The first phone he was using, it was a Touch Pro.... the second phone he was using was a Touch Pro 2.

I know the difference because I work with bunches of Touch Pro model dues to our corporate equipment demand. I managed the tech department to make sure that they are connected to their corporate application that is installed on it.

  • The first phone, yes it is a touch pro 2...although the model he is using specifically is a touch diamond (Sprint).

The second phone is not a Touch Pro2. It's actually an HTC Touch HD. The TP2 has a zoom bar under the screen and is visible on each model, while the HD does not. The TP2 doesn't have a "Home" button either, but has a "Start". Also, the TP2 has a status light on the left of the speaker, with a sensor on the right. The HD only has a status/sensor on the right with a camera.

  • plus, I have a TP2 so I know lol :)

  • Its a HD

  • but they are a girl, its a good thing lol

  • what is the domain and the password?

  • How do i know what to put in the domain name?

I cant get this to work... i have forwarded the port and got my exernal IP entered but i dont know what to use for the domain.. i got a domain off a site called whois or something orother but it didnt work... my firewall is off and i am running out of ideas.

  • I Got SMC (SMCWBR14-N) And I can't find Port Forwording??????????? please help fast Please

  • wuts the user name and password?

  • You said IF u got a router u should change settnings in it but if u got mobilebroadband on the computer how do i do then? have the same program on ur mobile as I and i typed in the comps ip in it but still nothing. please help thx :)

  • Why is there no mention of where you put the ipv4 or what goes in the domain field if anything. Just jumps into it working.

  • Unfortunately this isn't fool proof. There are many things that will prevent this program from sucessfully working as the case with me.

Quite frustrating as I thought that this vid would have helped but he only went over things that I already know.

  • does this only work with vista buisiness and not home premium?

  • Tassmuss you go onto portforwardingdotcom

  • HI...found my IP, but lost it when you went in to the computer. What is this Netgear page you are using. Can't find this page with the text on the side. Have written in my IP, but only ending up in my Google page. Can you please help me?? =)

  • dooch bag, you start with one fone and finish with another...j/k

  • do you have to have your computer on when you use remote desktop?

  • This guy is talking way to fast and scims over alot of stuff.

  • do i have to connect via wifi with my fuze to the same network that the pc is on im trying to connect to?

  • If you turn on HD you can see that he is connected to WI-FI on the top.

  • i did everything dwn to da tee, but still no luck=( so i was wondering for the prt dat says "username & pw" wat should i put?

  • Put the username and password of the computer you're trying to access remotely.

The only problem I ran into was that I have Windows Firewall disabled because I have my own, and remote desktop refuses to work without Windows Firewall running... It's not worth enabling Windows Firewall just for R.A. with a phone I think, so I've given up on this.

It's pretty pointless though anyways-- why would you want to remote access a computer you're on the same wifi as?

  • You can access it from anywhere as long as you have internet on your phone

  • NIce video thanks man

  • nice one

  • Whoops your email address is on iGoogle!

  • Much needed tutorial, I was looking for this last week when I was trying to set it up for my HTC HD....there was no instructions in the manual.

I was able to find the info I needed at the time to do it, but it took me a long time.

    Great video.

  • nice nice
