When you do the beat thing...What button are you pushing and when you hit it in the middle of the song, what does that do?

-Jw because im trying to do it on my piano/keyboard and i cant find the button thing that changes it when yhou hit it in the middle of the song.

  • I prefer remembering the major chords as 3 - 2. 3 spaces between the first and second note, 2 between the second and third :)

Oh and minor triads are just reversed (2 - 3) But your way of remembering them are good to I guess ;)

  • I absolutely HATE, when people first show of one version in the beginning of the video (a more advanced sounding version), and after watching your video for over 15 min! you'll learn a simple version just played with basics chords.

    *Hate it!*

  • If you learn to play by ear you don't need a tutorial for the vocals, or the melody, but the chirds are not that easy to hear.

  • that is because he has been playing for years, and people watching this are mostly people new to it....

your really stupid...and i really HATE people like you....

  • cheers for that you explain the whole minor and major chord stuff really well.

  • G major and e minor are relative major/minor keys, so either sounds OK. I prefer e minor though.

  • bpm = beats per minute (right? :P)

  • hi what dose bpm mean from piano

  • Thanks Mario. That was really well explained.

I'll always remember now how to pass from major to minor. Best wishes.

  • Thanks for the tutorial. After listening to the wham recording, I think that the third chord sounds more like E minor rather than G Major. Is this right?

  • NERD

  • Hey Mario, I downloaded the music sheet and played it. Doesn't sound like the one you played at the end. Please tell me the notes for your right hand at the end.

    E--E--D--A--E....

that's all i can figure out, thanks again.

  • I've just found out about you :D...I'm really new, I wonder what are the notes you press on your right hand side.

The ones i can notify are:

    E--E--D--A--E

  • Woah..He's good...I took 2 years of piano lessons and never learned about the triads. He makes it seem so simple.

  • I used to play organ years ago, now I bought a yamaha 88 key digital piano. I am trying to learn back but seems I forgot everything!

You lessons are amazing. They help me to "learn" again and watching you do it is very inspiring. Thank you so much for the time you give to us here on the net.

Now if I can just get my left and right hand coordinated I may be able to play something.

    Again Thanks...and God Bless you!

    Wanda W.

  • I liked it very much, and thank you too, very clear instructions.

  • what would it be called if you kept the root and final note but moved the 3rd finger to 2nd, like in a Cmajor it's C E G, what if it was C D G? and if it was C F G? btw very nice video it helped a lot.

  • Alfaris: C sus2 = CDG

    C sus4 = CFG

  • nice version and i like the drums

  • Hey Mario, you are a great teacher. You make it simple and so easy to understand. Can you teach me how to play Imagine Me by Kirk Franklin?

  • I don't know you... but I like you as I never hAVe seen you! Good job and... please, maybe you could show us, how to play how to save a life (by the fray) on the piano! I'd be happy... bye

  • I love that song. Did you figure that out by ear?

  • Hi,can you send the music sheets of this song for me,

    many thanks!

  • Mario... Im a huge fan of your series, but can I recommend you making the right hand a little more easier to figure out :)

  • You're a great teacher Mario! Thanks so much! I've been playing songs by ear for a few years and now it's great to finally have an easy way to learn.

  • wow you teach so well. ive learnt so much ive even taken notes from your vids. thanks!!

  • SOOO BEUTIFUL>>>AND IM A GUY!

  • Thank you for volunteering you time & effort to help teach music to those willing to learn. It is very generous of you!

  • The melody sounds better without the little echo bit don't you think?

  • Thank you so much

    you are a good teacher.

  • I only have 2 subscriptions on you tube, u r one of them, awesome video work

  • I noticed your electric piano has pedals on it. due to my moving alot, I can't get a real piano with pedals, so I have to stick with my electric -pedaless- piano. I was carious. what type of keyboard do you have?

  • It's a Yamaha Clavinova CVP-207. Even if your keyboard doesn't have a sustain pedal built-in, you can still purchase a separate pedal to attach to the keyboard. Most decent keyboards have an outlet to plug in this extra pedal.

  • seriously? wow. I've always wondered what the those outlets connect to...I need to get a pedal

  • grat playing tnks for posting...ya explain it really well , ian from dublin

  • You should teach too the melody of the left hand as you played in beginning. Thanks for posting!!!

  • I'll be learning this one later, cheers dude.

  • Thank you so much for sharing your talents!
