Not in any of the versions I have, in fact even in Scott Tennant's Pumping Nylon, I believe it's part of the rasgueado tutorial.
In any case, of all the top players I've seen play this, they don't do it as this gentlemen has displayed. His technique there is suspect. And I do know my subject, that said, there's no reason to be insulting, I was merely making an observation.
this sounding could be used with various techniques. the most frequent is with pppimaaaaaa or pppppaaaaaa. here he only does iiiiiii. I don't like the sound, but it's theorically correct.
That was kind of the point I was trying to make, "fam.." is right they're not rasgueados but the score does indicate multiple fingers on the right hand to execute the way Rodrigo had intended, and this gentleman doesn't demonstrate that here. He, as you mentioned Roger only uses iiiiii. Thanks for clarifying.
This rendition is not for me i'm afraid; i much prefer the version played in the film 'Brassed Off' by Grimethorpe Colliery Band. That is immense. Possibly the greatest piece ever written.
Kill the flute in the minute 4:48 and the minute 5:05. huge huge mistake
(good version for the adagio)

the flute really does a ver SERIOUS mistake, and it showed some imature things, and the whole orchestra could be more sycnhronized.

At 6:41 and at 6:53 and at the end 7:33, he didn't do the rasguados right, he just ran his nails over the strings.

If you would know your subject the score shows an arpeggiato and not a rasgueado at these three certain points.

Excellent playing. The winds and horns were a bit overbearing at times. But the guitarist did a fine job.
