while I like your views of the KJ bible vs new age bibles, I believe you to be misguided on other subjects such as the raprue for there is no explicit evidence for this. It is a reletivly new teaching that was never taught by the early church either in antioch or alexadria, the teaching is implicit and is not backed by any scripture, I talk of the pre and mid tribulation rapture, the only sembelance to a rapture will be when Christ returns to rule the earth.

@firmbeliever1 Amen brother. The so-called "pre-trib rapture" is a classic doctrine of devils for itching ears and lukewarm Christians who follow traditions of men like Darby, Scofield, and others; and who receiveth not the love of the truth .

A former rapture-believing preacher once said: "I never knew anyone who believed in a pre-trib rapture from just reading the bible. It ALWAYS comes from the teaching of men."

@liv3lif35 Studies in neuroscience within the last 10 years demonstrate conclusively that the existence of the soul is a myth. Our minds are not constituted of a single 'whole' but are a melange of many complimentary psychological parts. Studies of people who suffer brain injuries and strokes (etc) bear this out.

Consider heavy drug users who often have significant change in personality. Does this mean that chemicals can affect the 'incorporeal' soul?

Any investigation which operates using a foregone conclusion is not objective and is (by definition) not scientific. Objectivity and the scientific model simply go where the evidence leads. It does not mean that you ignore evidence which is contrary to the results you want to get or that you feel 'should' be there.
