srry, but xbox360owner17 is wrong. Dynasty Warriors is a video game based on the epic and cruel times of the Han Dynasty. It took place from 180 AD - 280 AD. Xing Cai, was a fictional character. but none others that i know of weren't real. it was about the several regional lords vying to rule China, all based on Luo Guanzhong's famous novel- Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Sun Quan, Cao Pi, and Liu Bei were the first emperors of what was known as Eastern Wu, Wei, and ShuHan, in 220 AD.

actually, you said that it was 140 AD - 220 AD, and you said that all the characters are real. sadly, that bit is fiction, for not ALL were real. and not EVERYTHING they put in this game is real. example- Battle of He Fei Castle, Cao Pi was dead during 234 AD, and Sima Yi was at Wu Zhang Plains, so neither of them were actually there. yes, the history AROUND the game was right, but, you said nothing of it. and Zhuge Liang did not actually fight. he was the strategist though.

The first Lu Bu I knew was Dynasty Warriors 4. First I laughed at the whole " It's Lu Bu! Run!" scene. I thought I was the heroic warrior to defeat Lu Bu(i was in 4th or 5th grade). When I charged him and saw what happened I quickly became one of the "IT'S LU BU! RUN!" people. His red hare was so fast I would have to steal it then ride it to get away. Of course I just thought it was a cool looking regular horse. Now I know the true power of Lu Bu. The best koei warrior of all time hands down.
