Pet Clark, we loved each other very much. And it was difficult to say goodbye in June 2009.

I dedicate this to my wonderful mother (July 2, 1924- June 12, 2009.)

She listened faithfully to instrumentals that would play on the Muzak stations. This is one of them. This was one of her favourite types of music.

I remember distinctly a run in I had with my dad that left me in tears the day before Labour Day, 1974. That Sunday, Sept 1, when I was 8, my dad and I had a serious clash over something. My mom was there, and she gave me a lesson on how to social dance to comfort me.

Today is my mother's 81st birthday and all day long I've been haunted with the fear of how many birthdays she has left.  She's always been there for me and I know it will be very difficult to say goodbye.
