Ambien can be a useful medication if you use it as a short term sleep aid. I speak from experience and I use abuse Ambien like it was going out of style. Doses of 70-80 and even 100mg weren't uncommon. I wouldn't even sleep, I'd just sit in the room and feel like ten people were around me.
If you have insomnia you have to find the underlying cause. Plain and simple
The part where you say you don't get embarrassed on Ambien, is something I relate to.. I've been prescribed Ambien for almost 2 years now, and I still get that 'Not embarrassed' feeling. I make vlogs everynight and post them to youtube.. then wake up and realise I need to remove some (most of them) =)
i'm sorry for you. my sister has been on ambien for 6+ years. she was just flown by helicopter to a major hospital because she decided while 'ASLEEP" on ambien to go for a drive. she drove 90 mph into a building. both legs broken beyond repair and missing 7 teeth. what a life she looks forward to. i cry everyday.

I don't care either way, but I only ask because I have seen people who intended to use it for sleep and ended up tripping, and also people who tried it with the intention of tripping/fighting the sleep part or whatever. I take it to sleep. That usually doesn't happen though. The way to act like this is don't eat ANYTHING for about three hours and take it with very little water. Just don't lay down for a while and you'll act like this. lol
@HouseOfBecky the insidious thing about it is that you wake up and think that all that you did was sleep. So you may be having a blast and not even know it the next day. I used to make the weirdest concoctions of food and happily eat them. All in the name if trying to sleep.
