Starship Troopers is a political satire about a fascist Federation trying to make humans the dominant species, not insent. That's the movie version, anyway, the book back in the 60's was WAAY different. Even so, Starship Troopers is a fantastic movie with sex and violence, I wish I could say that about the sequels...

the movie left out one thing, the other alien race,The skinnies in the book the skinnies in the first chapter of the book the raid they were on was aginst the skinnie captaland where dizzy gets killed(sorry guys dizzy guy in the book)the bugs made a deal with the skinnies tell us where earth is(at this point in time the bugs had only incountered humans in space)and we would not invade you,so the skinnies rolled over told them about earth the bugs also nuked San Franciso.This is all in the book
