I have been informed the specific name of this market is Asson Tole, and that it may or may not be part of the Thamel neighborhood.

Sorry for the mistake. I love Kathmandu, and haven't spent nearly enough time getting to know the city. For what it is worth, this whole area was marked on my map as "Old Thamel Area"
