Well, I don't know about anyone else, but I think that in these new videos Rowlf sounds enough like Rowlf, and as far as personality, I think he's fine, he is just out of his element. He knows more about classic piano playing than extreme sports.

What's miserably disappointing is YOU! Of course Bill Baretta and Eric Jacobson may not be able to match Jim and Frank's voices perfectly,but that doesn't mean you have to be a jerk about it! Heck,look at all of the more recent Looney Tunes projects. The newer voice actors may not be Mel Blanc,but at least they're fine. TAKE A HIKE!!!

Don't let people annoy you buddy. I'm like you in thinking as long as the characters are still there it does not matter if the voice is slightly different. Take Steve Whitmire, he came under a lot of stick when he took over Kermit but I think he is amazing.

Like Rowlf, some of the classic Muppet characters may sound slightly different today because of recasting since the original performers have either pased away or retired, but that simply cannot be helped. The Muppets have been around for several years, change is bound to happen.

Recasting the characters is certainly better than just retiring them.
