I got an 08 Elantra GL ! Man I paid 13grand for it , with 36KM's on it. The best Investment I have ever made on buying a car. There is nothing to complain about the car. I added a chrome package on it and neons on the inteior and it's a must see car. Black on black with blue fog lights, Clearly an amazing car with every penny.

mm so far i have beaten two Civic Si's a few Chevy trucks, a ford stv, and a jeep lol. And no no problems, only one i can think of is installing new speakers. :( pain in the butt!

hmm never though it could beat civics si's.. I got a 2.0 mazda 6 and a honda civic Ex but mostly use the mazda and a Si would beat me any time

The elantra stock pumps out more whp then a civic. With just a tad bit of tuning they beat Si's. The Si comes tuned. And i would take a mazda over a Honda any day man.

Ya but u gotta consider that the civic is 1.8 (ex) and where I live there isn't much tuning activity. And IMO Honda is more reliable but idk it depends on your preferences

Oh my Elantra has given me no issues at all. I mean if you really do think about it, the car is as reliable as the driver. If it doesn't break down, well must mean the driver knows how to treat the car and knows what its limits are. If it breaks down, well you know what the issue is. And sometimes it is the car. But most of the time its the driver.

I test drove an '07 Elantra when it was time to trade in my '04 Elantra.  The electrically assisted power steering was so numb I couldn't stand it. Ended up buying an '07 Accent SE.

I do as well ... it looked more like a machine than a squash on wheels. It's still a nice looking car, just a bit too organically shaped.

The headroom and legroom are exceptional in the new Accent. However, they are narrower and that does give the impression of being a bit cozy. Enjoy your Elantra!

I recently bought a 2007 elantra and it is great. Very high quality parts in that car. Haven't had any problems what so ever with it. I would definitely say give hyundai a chance.

Me too, it makes you fall in love with the car. Hyundai borrows ideas from companies like VW, Acura, etc. and does quite well! And of course, selling it for a lot cheaper doesn't hurt us economy consumers! :D

Also what I like about Hyundai is that they are starting to be produced/assembeled in Alabama, which provides more American jobs. I've owned Chrysler and Toyota and want to give Hyundai a chance.
