Gaiman is an amazing writer, that's right :P I like that he writes his stories in a children book like style, even his Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader? is this way! and I love it, he's an amazing storyteller, I bet he could invent a fabulous story just talking :P
This is the first I've heard of a new adaptation. I LOVED the original series (graphic novels). I understood the changes made for the first film, but wished they'd remained truer to the "books". I just can't see anyone other than Brandon pulling it off. I hope I'm surprised instead of disappointed.
@BleedingAvenger Don't you see? This movie is going to be terrible. Just like most remakes tend to be. Sure they made some changes for the original movie but it was still awesome! This is all just Hollywood once again trying to milk James O'Barr's masterpiece until it's sucked bone-dry! Bottom line, if it's not broke, don't fucking fix it!
The Crow was never about Brandon Lee or Eric Draven, thats only one chapter in a whole series of stories...its about Revenge, Hurt and Loss...and yes while Draven is the best (being the original) he is not the "only" as you put it....infact, i even liked Ashe Corvens story (so stake me :p) one of the reasons that City Of Angels was panned was because too many people expected to see another Eric Draven, the story is about The Crow, NOT the people that come back in each story
and i would like to point out that Brandon Lee never played "The Crow", he played Eric Draven, The Crow is the bird that brought him back.....although ive noticed alot of people refer to the character in the comics as The Crow...
trust obey is such a wonderful band. john bergin is just a musical genius. i would really love it if he would release another trust obey record. the soundtrack to the "crow" comic book really is incredible, such a powerful music.
I love the comicbook verymuch. it was besides "batman: arkham asylum" one of the most important comic books that helped me getting into this medium and to start my own comicbook-"carier". it's so wonderful to see that i'm not the only one who knows trust obey.
oh, come on... who do you think you are? i eat dark knight returns every day for breakfast... of course i've read dkr. ^^
and, like every batman fan, i respect it very much and consider a very important take on batman to make him more capable for a mature audience. but - since i'm a total grant morrison fanboy - arkham asylum is my absolutely favorite comicbook of all time. i love the story, the art, the psychological theme. dark knight returns is great, arkham asylum is sex for my senses.
lol, sorry man, I should've known. I'm the one that's in the dark...I haven't read Arkham Asylum as of yet, but I'll make sure to pick it up soon...So I guess that means you've also read Batman: The Killing Joke and Watchmen...
i cant believe Neil Gaiman hasnt been mentioned yet! Sandman is one of my favourite comics!!
but generally the top 3 in my book are Neil Gaiman, Frank Miller and either Grant Morrison or Garth Ennis (all i remember is i loved the early 90s 2000AD stories :p)...although The Crow is in my top 5 comics of all time, i cant really call myself a fan of JO Barr, i only own 2 of his comics...
I'm currently reading Batman R.I.P. over here in England which just finished last month (although i havent read the last two parts due to missing an issue that i have to back order still) but if the story was printed after R.I.P. then hopefully itll be reprinted over here when Final Crisis has finished its run :D

Does anyone know when the new film adapation of the Crow is going to be released?
All's I know is that it's supposed to go more by the graphic novel which makes me happy.

As for Arkham asylum, I finally picked it up, but wasn't very impressed. Maybe i just need to read it again...
