  • Morrison is still one of my heroes, because I believe him to be a decent poet and fantastic performer. All I'm saying is, the guy couldn't play a single instrument. Teenage, pseudo-intellectual stoners see Jim Morrison and instantly think he was the coolest thing on two-legs - but it's all an aesthetic-looks thing. Had Jim Morrison been born with Mick Jagger's face, The Doors wouldn't have had half the success. They had three 'classic albums'... from 1967 to 1971, The Stones had a slew of 5.

  • It's blatant The Who are superior musicians to The Doors - history has proven this. The latterly mentioned band failed to release decent material without Morrison, whilst members of The Who have proven themselves time and time again as fantastic independent musicians. Jim Morrison was undoubtedly a smart, compelling human being, but I think many people are confusing his external charisma and rebellious attitude with 'musical talent'. In that aspect, the man was very limited.

  • the doors are much better

  • @mrmojorisin119 that's enough acid for you my friend

  • @thighmister thats enuf stupidity for u my friend

  • just get drunk. relax. put this on after a hard days work and enjoy it for what it is. Better than reality TV any which way. Good Work.

  • amazing!!!!!

    thx for posting @cigarettetenor

  • doors are great but, in my opinion The Who kicks their asses

  • Jim wasn't trying to be the best, he just wants to write poetry and do music. Maybe when you guys can write or sing as well as Jim Morrison, then only you can criticize him.

  • no. just no.

  • Should be The Who and The Doors Hello I fooled you great video none the less.

  • The doors shaped musical styles for the rest of time, the who invented musical styles.

  • @havepie The Doors did not survive long enough as a band to prove anything. They were still growing in popularity. The Doors never reached superstardom. The Doors were still playing theaters and clubs when it all ended. They were starting to gain popularity and would have started selling out arenas but not stadiums. Very few bands in 69/70 were selling out arenas and stadiums. The Stones were doing it and The Who were doing it. 70/71 Led Zep just started doing it.

  • it's ok but it sounds like The who featuring Jim morrision on vocals..singing a totally new version of hello i love you..

  • It just doesn't work to me...

  • primus sucks

  • @canaryman69 I'm not saying The Who isn't a great band, I like their music, just not as much as I like The Doors music. It's a matter of opinion, just because The Who might have been more main stream doesn't make The Doors any less great of a band.

  • @xobadromancexo The Beatles most successful and influential. The Stones deserve the title Greatest Rock n Roll Band, (personally I think The Who). The Who are the greatest live band. Led Zep most popular. Elvis entertainer of the 50's. Beatles band of 60's. Led Zep band of 70. Michael Jackson entertainer 80. Garth Brookes entertainer 90. In order of importance in rock, The Beatles, The Stones, The Who, Led Zep.

  • @xobadromancexo that is fine to like The Doors more than The Who, but the fact is when it comes to impact and longevity and influence and live performances The Who is in the top 4 of all rock bands, PERIOD. Cheers

  • I like The Who, but I LOVE The Doors

  • @xobadromancexo when the Doors ended at that time they were still playing small clubs and theaters while The Who played stadiums and arenas. The Doors music is basic compared to The Who. The Doors are good but not great and they are overrated. The Doors did not survive long enough to be in the great or supergroup category. The Who are considered to be the greatest live band and one of the most influential. Only The Beatles, Stones, Who and Led Zep are the big four, and 5th maybe Floyd.

  • @canaryman69 OH man you so wrong about The Doors. Theres absolutely no way that Doors overrated or basic comparing to the other bands, you just simply didn't listen their music enough. And definitely Jim Morrison would in top five songwriter/ singer.

  • @MrBryterLayter lol, Jim Morrison would struggle to get into the top 10, he's nothing compared to 3 of the 4 beatles, most of the stones, and that's before you look at the Who (Tommy anyone!) and of course Dylan, Hendrix and a host of others....The Doors never reached their potential because ole jim was too busy getting wasted.

  • The Who no question. I love the Doors too, especially Morrison because he is one of the best singers of all time.

  • I love them both almost equally...but Pete is just a genius!!! Can't not vote for the Who!!!

  • @nonoetseb Pete Townshend is probably the greatest "all around" singer/songwriter/musician/showman/producer and only Paul McCartney comes close.

  • @canaryman69 i agree!!!

  • @nonoetseb Doors did not survive long enough to prove anything. I rate them maybe top 20 or top 25 in importance and my likeability scale, lol.

  • Surprisingly good! I'm impressed how well you got Morrison to sound like he was singing over the Who. COOL!

  • The Doors were everything, jim mad a new style and he had a very unique voice, just his screams can tell what great he was as a showman,as a rock star. RIP Jim Morrison

  • meh

  • both are good but nothing compares to jim morrisons voice and just his unique character

  • Stupid comparison. The Doors were nothings.

  • The Who all the way...

  • Both bands are extremely amazing!!!! But I'll go with 'The Who'.

btw amazing video! It goes so perfect together!

  • this two bands togheter would obviously kicked ass!

    Jim on vocals!

    John E. en bass!

    Keith on drums!

    Ray on keyboards!

    and Rooby and Pete together!

    wooow!!

  • Both great bands, but The Who is better. Roger Daltrey and Jim Morrison should have shared vocals.

  • stupi idea - the doors was the doors and da oo was da oo

  • woa that so weird but awesome lol

  • A kind of visual plunderphonics- nice.

  • I'm not going to lie, this doesn't make ANY SENSE, yet it works perfectly.

  • 1:05 is the best part

  • this is pretty cool

    haha

  • LOL this i funny. good too.

  • it didnt get pretty cool. bortin]g.

well i dont like the doors at all so thats why i think it was uncool

  • lmfao it sounds.. uhm... wierd i guess... hahahahha

  • it is not a contest to see which band is better both bands are awsome in their in their own way

  • @baseball828 although obviously Jim was a drunken moron...talented moron, but moron none the less!

  • sounds like a crappy jam session

  • both bands r great but i stay with the doors

  • @EvergreenTerrace52

I prefer The Who but i also lover The Doors. Honestly though I think both bands are completely original and play two different types of music.

  • And people think Keith Moon would only work in The Who!

  • very clever....you did fool me

  • Pretty good pretty good, pretty neat pretty neat...awright!

  • Stupendaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is badass!

  • Very Nice ^_^

  • 2:20 is pretty cool

  • it rules!

  • Yes, nice work !!!

  • Yeah goes to my fav. 5/5!!

  • I have a request which would be awsome if u could do just plz send me a message when u wanna here it

  • Jim takes over vocals and poor Rog is left to run around the stage...LOL. Nice work!

  • @windmiller129 but you must admit that the greatest scream ever in the rock n roll history is made by Roger! in 'Wont Get Fooled Again'.In my opinion, Roger and Jim are the best frontmen ever!

  • Wow, nicely done, did you do this yourself?

How did you come by the instrumentals and the isolated vocal tracks?

    Hope to hear from ya

    Peace

  • The WGFA backing track comes from multi-tracks that can be found by cracking the Rock Band video game. The HILY vocals come from the center channel of a 5.1 mix on a Doors DVD.

  • Yup. Proof that no matter how good the songs are, Mash-ups are always dreadful.

  • Hahahaha. Cool video, nice work.
