I now also hold the diagnoses of ADHD, Asperger's, Obsessive Compulsive disorder and several others. The three I've mentioned are being cause by my defective right temporal lobe (which is where emotions are produced in the brain). Not all kids are spoiled shitheads.
As a kid I was nuts. Violent, hyper as hell, and dealing with inner demons no one else knew I had to the point it nearly killed me. I complained about various symptoms and my parents brushed it off and instead got frustrated to the point of hitting me at times. Lots of yelling on their part too. Grew up and starting collapsing and having seizures. Turns out I was an epileptic kid and the emotional problems were largely due to my defective right temporal lobe. I take 25 pills a day now and HAPPY.
im 24 deal with the same things as this kid does. he is very smart. one of the main things that relates to real serious depression you understand to much of your surrounding to the point where you have over come the feeling of atomosity and feeling like your desperate
my cousin has bipolar disorder, she's well into her 20s. It is a very real disease (for adults that is, dunno if you could really justify it in kids) but my point is that while she has it and has been diagnosed and spent multiple times in psyche wards at hospitals, she now can control it simply on diet and natropathic means.
Drugs aren't always necessary even for sure cases.
There is this great TV Show "Worlds Strictest Parents" you can find it on youtube..
it is really amazing how people change within 2 weeks once they are in a family where the parents actually care (even if it are not their children)
they are not really strict in the meaning of beating their kids lol.. no thats not the point.. the show should be called "worlds worst parents" meaning the families where the kids acutally grew up´,.. but than obviously nobody would take part in that show ;)
This comment is going to make a lot of people mad but it is true and needs to be said. A lot of parents are simply lazy and want to have a pill "parent" their child(ren). However there are many kids that actually NEED to be medicated. Unless you have walked a mile in the shoes of a parent who has had to make the decision to medicate or not medicate then don't open your mouth because you simply don't understand.
this is crazy, he is a kid, be a parent and don't expect a miniture adult, shit i cant sit still for longer than a min, i don't need drugs i'm just board
Most parents are very uneducated on these drugs that these drug dealers(doctors) push. In the long term we don't know how these stimulants and other drugs affect a developing mind. Most of this parents suck at parenting, the kid acts out and then they blame it on a disorder. I think some kids do have ADD but it is way over diagnosed.
the kid's not crazy, it's that these parents are lazy. for real, just looking at the mother of hugh really urks the hell out of me. like damn these people are literally out of touch with everything. no wonder why that kid has an attitude problem because the damn parents won't spend any time with them.
The parents are just too lazy to raise their childs, so they give em some drugs, then they're chilled out/laid back and they can just read their book or go to work.. Lazy bitches.
simple principle...spare the rod and spoil the child....excessive liberalism and individualism is the cause of what it now being termed ''child hood depression''. Children dont have life experiences..they CANNOT be depressed. I see a lot of children often who have been labelled depressed and on medications..then I see their parents. .The parenting foundation of these kids is always improper. Dont negotiate with children MOST OF THE TIME; their minds are not designed for it. Pity these kids poor
discipline and real attention work better than medication!! seems that parents are too lazy to do their real job.. hugh reminds me one of my nephews which had been disciplined by the mom and had the attention he need it and now he is doing great at school is #1 at his class..
@TheMankindopinion You are so right. As with all things, there needs to be heirachy of things. Everyone can not be in charge. Don't negotiate with children. From I see Hugh is really smart, and plays our his frustration by anger. He is most likely ignored by his parents and family. I am almost certain that if this kid was given something he was interested in he would excel. But he finds things dull,
@neurocidesakiwi This little boy has high-functioning autism and one should be careful of giving the parents blame for his behaviour. Without having examined him myself extensively, I cannot comment on is medications, but it does seem excessive to label him as bipolar on first glance.
@DoctorRainbow8321 The fact that you were belted until you were bloody shows that there was a problem with your parents mentality on the subject of spanking. It wasn't right in any way, shape or form. However, spanking the correct way can be beneficial. I think that if a parent was going to go out of their way to spank until they injured their child, then that parent would probably have been abusive with or without being 'allowed' to spank their kids.
These kids are dysfunctional because their families are dysfunctional. How much time do these parents spend with their children? Do they play with them? Probably not. If the parents spent more time with their children, getting to know them, they would understand why the kid gets angry, or rather, the kids wouldn't be so dysfunctional in the first place. This is a direct result of our materialistic society dysfunctional values.
While I know some people really do suffer from mental disorders and need medication, I still think that a majority of the kids medicated need a punch in the face, not medication.
fuck, im 17 and have bi polar disorder,, had been treated for i think roughly 8 months of 750mg of lithium,, and the past 8 weeks i havnt taken the medication and i feel better now then off the medication, still notice highs and lows,,,, its just weird how some people need medication so bad and some hand it different etc :S
@crazddrifterr DUDE. If you care about your life, don't ever take lithium anymore. It is EXTREMELY dangerous. My friend took it for not even that long, and now he's fucked for life from it. On top of that, if you care about your sex drive, this will destroy it completely. It's called either you, or the people you call out to, don't wan't to help. That's why they give you medications and call you bi-polar. I have done more work with 1 month of GOOD therapy IN MY WHOLE LIFE than with medications.
Hugh reminds me of Jeffrey Dahmer. And "social issues"? He's an audacious brat, give me 5 minutes with that child and his disorder will disappear immediately.

If i had been told it was okay to act this way because i had a condition i would have never grown out of it. He clearly is enjoying it and says it himself at 9:00, Hes using this as an excuse to act however he wants.
@0TalkingWithLoda0 I agree. Fear and intimidation is something you shouldn't put into your kids. It just causes resentment. Never lay a hand on your kid .
I used to date a manic depressive for a while. As an adult he had the same obnoxious attitude as that kid. Then one day he killed himself. Just like that: *click* *boom*
@chaseray21 ADHD is pretty much diagnosed by the medication, the medication is an amphetamine, if they just needed discipline parents wouldn't be giving them something making them more hyperactive. I wish I was diagnosed with it when I was a kid. I have inattentive type so I wasn't hyper and I wasn't a problem for teachers or my parents but my life would have been so much better if they put on ritalin beforehand, I wouldn't tell a diabetic not to take insulin.
@mfentruck Exactly, there were so many instances where it seriously felt impossible to do the tiniest things, I always had zero organization skills which was really humiliating throughout school, and everything just clicked into place when I got on ADHD medication. If I had had it sooner, my life through childhood would have been so so so so so much better. Were you inattentive type as well?
@DaliDahmerly um no? Everybody will perform better on amphetamines or whatever stimulant. You know the military uses it? That WWII pilots were fueling on this shit. So it is kinda scary we give kids the same thing.
I am pretty sure I could qualify ADHD too. But I don't wish i was doped up (even if I grew up in time when I was pretty much considered inattentative and distractive. Learned to live without my difference... and no, amphetamines are not the same as insulin.
@venushalley They're two different classes of medicine, but it's cruel not to give kids who legitimately have ADHD their medications. I wasn't diagnosed and went on to be severely depressed. I didn't know what was wrong with me, I got on ritalin and suddenly a part of my brain that could function clicked. It's a real disorder that really effects people, it's just sensationalized, over-diagnosed, and poorly understood.
@DaliDahmerly well, don't blame me. Blame the doctors who give away kiddie-cocaine like it was nothing. Or people who spread claims about how performing better on stimulants means you are ADHD (which is untrue. Everybody does better on right dose of stimulants).
and yes, I don!t like our kids to be on the same drugs as military pilots use.
@DaliDahmerly oh, that is pretty dramatic, isn't it?. And isn't depression be supposed an imbalance of differnet kind and purely biological? So how cna another disease lead to an imbalance when depression is supposed to be internal thing?
Everyone is messed up to some extent without proper diet and exercise (mental & physical). Fix these things first then turn to medication. IMHO. After seeing this I believe I was similar to some of these children at their age.
It really doesn't need a genius to see that medicating children for non-existing 'conditions' only suit the chaps who make the drugs and the psychologists who have bi-polar disorder and have a notion they are clinical psychiatrists and can prescribe the crap...
P.S. How about feeding new-born babies "Prozac" with breast milk for all the crying - Looks like depression to me...
@k0rps3gynd3r So true psychiatrists are getting way to medical, treating every little aspect with some sort of drug or stigma(add, adhd).
I feel like if your kid runs around the house and breaks stuff he/she has to set a boundary of whats right and wrong. But one step outside that boundary get that belt ready!
@LaxSwag31 yeah i don't think that would work EVERY SINGLE time buy 97% of the time it does. Some kids have real mental defects that are unaffected by the average beat down.
@DoctorRainbow8321 I grew up spanked, and it didn't do me any harm, or anyone else I know. It all depends on how hard, how often, and if its done ONLY when really appropriate.
@fragmentedbeauty I grew up belted till I was bloody, because I was depressed and often didn't do so good in school. My parents thought it was appropriate and didn't think it was truly hurting me. Do you see how easily people can take things out of context?
Medication for kids with "mental illness" is one of the greatest pyramid schemes ever! Cause ANY kid in america can be diagnose with "ADHD". Thus the entire drug industry has millions of dollars coming in every year at the expense of parents. I was on this stuff till i was 20 and then i quit and im doing fine. Kids just need to change their diet and stop eatting fast food and junk
@Dumpstermuffin1 There's a difference between ADHD and other mental illnesses, dumbass. And prove to me ADHD isn't really an illness and you'll be easier to believe.
You are a fucking idiot. ADHD is over diagnosed but it is a very real problem for some people. Just because you stopped taking your meds and everything is ok doesn't make it true for everyone else.
I think those parents lost their credibility when they said the dog was on medication, too. I think it's interesting that when the kid threatens to commit suicide, their automatic question is "what's wrong with him?". Maybe they should first ask "what's wrong with us?"
@TheJaqGallier I doubt it. His behaviors are pretty consistent with Asperger's alone, so he was probably a really cool ABNORMAL child before he was drugged up. I haven't the foggiest notion why he needs that many drugs though. I could understand the occasional (read: not daily) Adderall pill and maybe some lithium (why not; it's side effect profile is slim enough) but the rest is pretty absurd.
many kids threaten to commit suicide, or leave, or are anti social but putting them on meds at such a young age is just to normalize them and what lesson does that teach??
im sorry but every kid can be diagnosed as something! pills just make you dependent on something!! when i was in highschool i remember everyone getting diagnosed and pilled up by their doctor, and they still take those meds now that they are into their twenties.... they have never been for a re-eval of their symptoms and dont even question whether or not they can do it without pills!
People make me sick..Deal with your problems instead of taking pills for them..Discipline your kids..if my kid told me they were gonna kill me..Id beat their ass..They know what their doing and saying even at six..They have just dont know what the consequences are for their actions..show them..
How much of a retard are you? "Deal with your problems instead of taking pills for them." Wow, great advice because it is just that fucking easy. And why the hell shouldn't someone improve their life with medication?
@mfentruck Because taking medicine for your problems is a fucking cop out!!! Excuse me for being strong willed and working on myself instead of depending on medincine to do it for me. It is fucking easy when you are strong enough to facts the facts in a situation. To me taking pills is the EASY WAY OUT. Look in the mirror and look at the person you are..if you want to change you are the only person to make that change. Not meds...
@mfentruck Exactly. Everyone is different and some people need medication to function well, plain and simple. Anyone leaving comments otherwise has never dealt with this kind of situation firsthand.
I think a lot of this is diet, and environmental factors...but man, that one kid looks like he could be in a horror film, he has the look in his eye like he could blow someone away and not even flinch.
parents never heard of healthy adjusted diet , lots of sports and talk therapy ? Omg they even medicated the dog! Adhd does exist but as a teacher i have seen better results faster with diet change and exercise and 1 on1 xtra classes.
a child aged 6 on pills? damn.. netherlands aint that crazy, can't you see its all about the money the pill company's make, and they give money for subscribing it to patients.
@drumhumify I agree..It seems like they dont wanna take the time to help them they just wanna take the easy road and medicate them..My daughter was told she had AD/HD at age 6..They wanted us to medicate her and we said def not..She is 9 now and is completely fine. Yes she does get out of hand sometimes and she gets spanked but she knows the consequences of her actions so..It took my husband and I to get her in line..not medicine..
... "When she's on medication, she's like my best friend."
Maybe, had she been eating less Big Macs and not got pregnant in the 1st place, she might have had some true best friends without medicating her daughter. Fucking bitch.
@IIoWoII well done, I am glad to hear stories like yours. It's so easy to get your own kids on psycotic drugs other that really spending time wth them. Meanwhile, pharmaceutical companies are getting richer and richer...
Oh, let's not forget the dog on medications, too! Unbelievable.
@IIoWoII That's absolutely bizarre. As near as I know, there isn't a single drug that purports to treat Asperger's specifically (which makes sense, seeing as how it is more-or-less a benign neurological difference imho). There are meds for concomitant conditions like social anxiety, but nothing just for Asperger's.
I think he is probably an extremely intellegent young boy who has unfortunately been misdiagnosed by grossly incompetent doctors and highly stupid parent!!
I have bipolar disorder and I can tell you all first hand that medicating kids is wrong. These same medicines you see on commercials "if you've taken this--call this lawyer, this may cause death etc" has caused me memory problems and physical ailments...
Hugh has problems. I don't care how many of you suggest that a "good beating" or stricter discipline would remedy him. The parents are not just medicating him and closing him in his room. They are also utilizing behavioral modification techniques as well. To watch a 1 hr documentary and then label them as "disgusting" parents is really despicable. There is such a thing as mental illness and this young man shows hallmark traits of a severe mental imbalance that is not the result of bad parenting.
Makes me sick to know parents do this to kids. Also, the UK isn't any different in terms of drugging their kids so shame on you Louie. And to all the parents of kids who are given these horrible drugs- you are no different from the brother selling crack on the corner. It's the same shit, just packaged in a fancier wrapper. The cokes, candy bars and playstation might contribute to their mindset.
@jukio02 and like skin color matters? please give me a report in which skin color is scientifically proven to make one person do things the other of different race wouldn't.
@XIXIsilentIXIX actually skin color does have alot to do with what one race does. havent you ever notice how asian people are different from white people, or blacks are different to whites? now, they arent born like this, however, because of them being white or black, they are raised differently and more likely to do certain things then other races. and nothing i said wasnt true, most of his reports are mostly white crazy people. think before you speak
@jukio02 But it's nothing to do with skin color and a lot to do with access to education and social pressures/role models etc. Skin color is kind of like a class system by itself in the US. I know you cannot understand the difference, but really, ignorance is little excuse these days.
I think I understand that kid, he seems very intelligent and independent minded and I hope he can allow himself to be himself regardless of the expectations of others
I remember threatning my parents with suicide when I was 6 years old. I gave that up because they would always reply."Were ever you die we will leave you there, and won't burry you. You want to be eaten by dogs?" I soon straighten up.
I have uploaded the full episode now. Please can you remove this version as it conflicts, because your 1st episode is 10mins, whereas ep 1 of mine is 15. So people cannot flow from this to the rest of the doc on my upload. Just a suggestion if you want to help people to view the doc.

DaliDahmerly 7 months ago
@DaliDahmerly ADHD is way over diagnosed, most of these kids just need better discipline.
chaseray21 7 months ago
@chaseray21 ADHD is pretty much diagnosed by the medication, the medication is an amphetamine, if they just needed discipline parents wouldn't be giving them something making them more hyperactive. I wish I was diagnosed with it when I was a kid. I have inattentive type so I wasn't hyper and I wasn't a problem for teachers or my parents but my life would have been so much better if they put on ritalin beforehand, I wouldn't tell a diabetic not to take insulin.
DaliDahmerly 7 months ago
@DaliDahmerly
Seriously. I finally got add medication at age 24 and it has made a huge impact on my life. I wish I would have had it before then....
mfentruck 7 months ago
@mfentruck Exactly, there were so many instances where it seriously felt impossible to do the tiniest things, I always had zero organization skills which was really humiliating throughout school, and everything just clicked into place when I got on ADHD medication. If I had had it sooner, my life through childhood would have been so so so so so much better. Were you inattentive type as well?
DaliDahmerly 7 months ago
@DaliDahmerly um no? Everybody will perform better on amphetamines or whatever stimulant. You know the military uses it? That WWII pilots were fueling on this shit. So it is kinda scary we give kids the same thing.
I am pretty sure I could qualify ADHD too. But I don't wish i was doped up (even if I grew up in time when I was pretty much considered inattentative and distractive. Learned to live without my difference... and no, amphetamines are not the same as insulin.
venushalley 2 months ago
@venushalley They're two different classes of medicine, but it's cruel not to give kids who legitimately have ADHD their medications. I wasn't diagnosed and went on to be severely depressed. I didn't know what was wrong with me, I got on ritalin and suddenly a part of my brain that could function clicked. It's a real disorder that really effects people, it's just sensationalized, over-diagnosed, and poorly understood.
DaliDahmerly 2 months ago
@DaliDahmerly well, don't blame me. Blame the doctors who give away kiddie-cocaine like it was nothing. Or people who spread claims about how performing better on stimulants means you are ADHD (which is untrue. Everybody does better on right dose of stimulants).
and yes, I don!t like our kids to be on the same drugs as military pilots use.
venushalley 2 months ago
@DaliDahmerly .... I have yet to hear of somebody who died because they did not take their amphetamines.
venushalley 2 months ago
@venushalley I've heard several cases of people dying from suicide and severe depression. Which untreated ADHD can lead to.
DaliDahmerly 2 months ago
@DaliDahmerly oh, that is pretty dramatic, isn't it?. And isn't depression be supposed an imbalance of differnet kind and purely biological? So how cna another disease lead to an imbalance when depression is supposed to be internal thing?

Adderall yeeeeaaaah pump more amphetamines into the kid!!!!

Just give this spoiled, arrogant kid a good lesson instead of pills. Seriously stupid parents need an education on how to educate a child.

Not hating on white people but i think the modern white parents are a little too soft for their kids, you guys need to get old fashioned on 'em!
Gekruidgehakt 7 months ago
Everyone is messed up to some extent without proper diet and exercise (mental & physical). Fix these things first then turn to medication. IMHO. After seeing this I believe I was similar to some of these children at their age.

lurifaxable 8 months ago
WOW!
Orthodoxcrusader 8 months ago
the kids just need a good ol' fashion ass whipping. line em right out.
k0rps3gynd3r 8 months ago 20
@k0rps3gynd3r Except when the ass whooping is because the kid doesn't take his meds. Trust me, I know.
dnaisinmybody 5 months ago
@dnaisinmybody well that's just the parents covering both angles....(sarcasm)
k0rps3gynd3r 5 months ago
@k0rps3gynd3r So true psychiatrists are getting way to medical, treating every little aspect with some sort of drug or stigma(add, adhd).
I feel like if your kid runs around the house and breaks stuff he/she has to set a boundary of whats right and wrong. But one step outside that boundary get that belt ready!
LaxSwag31 5 months ago
@LaxSwag31 yeah i don't think that would work EVERY SINGLE time buy 97% of the time it does. Some kids have real mental defects that are unaffected by the average beat down.
k0rps3gynd3r 5 months ago
i do think when these kids realize their parents think these things they just run with it and milk the hell out of the situation.
k0rps3gynd3r 5 months ago

LaxSwag31 5 months ago
@k0rps3gynd3r Actually most of the time that makes it a lot worse. I hope you don't have kids in the future, I smell potential child abuse.
DoctorRainbow8321 4 months ago
@DoctorRainbow8321 I grew up spanked, and it didn't do me any harm, or anyone else I know. It all depends on how hard, how often, and if its done ONLY when really appropriate.
fragmentedbeauty 4 months ago

Dumpstermuffin1 8 months ago
@Dumpstermuffin1 There's a difference between ADHD and other mental illnesses, dumbass. And prove to me ADHD isn't really an illness and you'll be easier to believe.
MegaAwesomePossem 8 months ago
@Dumpstermuffin1
You are a fucking idiot. ADHD is over diagnosed but it is a very real problem for some people. Just because you stopped taking your meds and everything is ok doesn't make it true for everyone else.

harrysmithmusic1 8 months ago
I think those parents lost their credibility when they said the dog was on medication, too. I think it's interesting that when the kid threatens to commit suicide, their automatic question is "what's wrong with him?". Maybe they should first ask "what's wrong with us?"
RyanDavidAshley 8 months ago
soo sad.. the basically suffocated that kids Hugh's personality... he was probably a really cool NORMAL child before the drugged him up! :(
TheJaqGallier 8 months ago
@TheJaqGallier I doubt it. His behaviors are pretty consistent with Asperger's alone, so he was probably a really cool ABNORMAL child before he was drugged up. I haven't the foggiest notion why he needs that many drugs though. I could understand the occasional (read: not daily) Adderall pill and maybe some lithium (why not; it's side effect profile is slim enough) but the rest is pretty absurd.
JerryPilton 8 months ago
many kids threaten to commit suicide, or leave, or are anti social but putting them on meds at such a young age is just to normalize them and what lesson does that teach??
crackfiendables 9 months ago
im sorry but every kid can be diagnosed as something! pills just make you dependent on something!! when i was in highschool i remember everyone getting diagnosed and pilled up by their doctor, and they still take those meds now that they are into their twenties.... they have never been for a re-eval of their symptoms and dont even question whether or not they can do it without pills!
crackfiendables 9 months ago 2
People make me sick..Deal with your problems instead of taking pills for them..Discipline your kids..if my kid told me they were gonna kill me..Id beat their ass..They know what their doing and saying even at six..They have just dont know what the consequences are for their actions..show them..
deltasa 9 months ago
@deltasa
How much of a retard are you? "Deal with your problems instead of taking pills for them." Wow, great advice because it is just that fucking easy. And why the hell shouldn't someone improve their life with medication?
mfentruck 7 months ago
@mfentruck Because taking medicine for your problems is a fucking cop out!!! Excuse me for being strong willed and working on myself instead of depending on medincine to do it for me. It is fucking easy when you are strong enough to facts the facts in a situation. To me taking pills is the EASY WAY OUT. Look in the mirror and look at the person you are..if you want to change you are the only person to make that change. Not meds...
deltasa 7 months ago
@mfentruck Exactly. Everyone is different and some people need medication to function well, plain and simple. Anyone leaving comments otherwise has never dealt with this kind of situation firsthand.

Oh, let's not forget the dog on medications, too! Unbelievable.
matteoprez 9 months ago
@IIoWoII That's absolutely bizarre. As near as I know, there isn't a single drug that purports to treat Asperger's specifically (which makes sense, seeing as how it is more-or-less a benign neurological difference imho). There are meds for concomitant conditions like social anxiety, but nothing just for Asperger's.

dlsmith2771 10 months ago
Hugh has problems. I don't care how many of you suggest that a "good beating" or stricter discipline would remedy him. The parents are not just medicating him and closing him in his room. They are also utilizing behavioral modification techniques as well. To watch a 1 hr documentary and then label them as "disgusting" parents is really despicable. There is such a thing as mental illness and this young man shows hallmark traits of a severe mental imbalance that is not the result of bad parenting.

And to all the parents of kids who are given these horrible drugs- you are no different from the brother selling crack on the corner. It's the same shit, just packaged in a fancier wrapper. The cokes, candy bars and playstation might contribute to their mindset.

jukio02 11 months ago
@jukio02 and like skin color matters? please give me a report in which skin color is scientifically proven to make one person do things the other of different race wouldn't.
XIXIsilentIXIX 11 months ago
@XIXIsilentIXIX actually skin color does have alot to do with what one race does. havent you ever notice how asian people are different from white people, or blacks are different to whites? now, they arent born like this, however, because of them being white or black, they are raised differently and more likely to do certain things then other races. and nothing i said wasnt true, most of his reports are mostly white crazy people. think before you speak
jukio02 11 months ago
@jukio02 But it's nothing to do with skin color and a lot to do with access to education and social pressures/role models etc. Skin color is kind of like a class system by itself in the US. I know you cannot understand the difference, but really, ignorance is little excuse these days.
