This game was awesome indeed, and difficult. However, I had a couple of issues. One, the dragon battles were...not even battles. Two, there should've been a better final boss fight. If they were going to have Allant as the final opponent anyway, they should have made the battle at the end of the castle the real final boss fight. Damn...now I'm remembering just how many times I died against him. Is there any other RPG where the boss steals your levels? EVIL!

You gotta be nimble and have a bunch of recovery items, you can play it like an attrition battle, he vs your herbs.

You wanna be nimble because you gotta roll a lot...A LOT and by a lot I mean like a shit-ton of a lot to the a lot-th power. Try to go with to blue phantoms although they will probably die right away ( at this point of the game is easier to regain your body via black phantom than by blue ). As for the rest, cover, roll, attack, roll recover. Remember rolling has invencibility.

I know this is an old comment, but I don't think anyone answered you.

You can only access co-op or summoning Blue Phantoms (other players) when you're alive. Once you're alive, you just have to look for summoning messages on the floor, preferably one with a "I wish I had friends" comment near it. But be careful: Black Phantoms (PKs) can invade your server when you're alive, and if they kill you, you lose a Soul Level.

it goes based on your PS3 region.. meaning a japanese game will us the US region online.. (once the game is out here)... even when you have a JP account your PS3 is US. Thats why people in the US cant use Vidzone even when you have a UK account.. it detects your PS3 region.

Yes you can play offline however the online elements of the game are really neat. There's various types of ghosts, of players, some help you directly in coop others try to invade and kill you. Then there's more passive ghosts that just walk around showing you where other players have gone and then ghosts of players who died showing you how they died. It's all really creative and even if you don't want to pvp or coop you should at least set it up and have a look.
