  • your lucky i have never seen any of those coins

  • Thanks for sharing, I'll have to pick up some of those nice Australian coins.

  • Why is it so important to have a dollar value to the coins. They are troy ounces, I have been told that is gives it currency status?

    Has this a tax advantage?

  • Those are some extremely beautiful coins man, very amazing gift.

  • Jeff, now all you need is a two oz kookaburra, and a kilo kookaburra

  • @BitisNajaLover Thats right.

  • hahaha i love the american accent on kookaburra and australia, great vid :D thumbs up

  • You have to see how amazing it is to cuddle a real Koala. They are so soft and fat and quite heavy, believe it or not. They are much heavier than they look. They are like little tanks. :) And hey, no big deal about calling the Koala a koala bear. Lots of people call them that because they don't know its not a bear. Big deal. We know what you mean. :)

  • Dang that is very generous!!!

  • That's nearly $500 Aud in Silver.

    Holy crap?

    LOL!

I have the 2010 'fat boy' 10oz Kook and it's even nicer mate, the Perth Mint coins are absolutely gorgeous and worth the extra premium you pay for them.

For the record, ALL Perth Mint coins come individually encapsulated like this!

  • i've only just found this channel.great.

i wish john would send me some silver too!!!

  • Are this really well machined coins and stuff more expensive than the rough bars?

  • @kauxkaux

Yes, they have a premium and worth more than just their silver content. That big 10oz coin sells for $220+ on eBay. The small 1oz ones worth as much as $35 each, which is twice the price of the silver content.

  • all got say is wow. you got some good contacts out there.

  • i have a nickel that has a indian head/buffolo

  • @StrykingHawk

My favorite site for up to the minute prices (dealer bids) for bullion and also "junk" coins is Coininfo (dot com), with running spot prices for Au, Ag, Pt, and Pd, as well as metal value ratios and newsfeeds on PMs and numismatic interests. Another useful site is Coinflation (dot com). It has calculators for raw metal value in US and Canadian coins, even clad and pennies. Fore example, copper US Cents are worth 1.97 cents for metal content, right now. =^[.]^=

  • about $3.25. i have 2 and i went to an antique store.

  • lol thats awesome

Canadian "head" side of coin! :D

  • Wow 20 onz of silver , ay todays pricing it is about a $ 360.oo gift

  • CL-You would probably love the "lunar" series of coins that the perth mint makes. Chinese "year of the..." coins. very cool.

  • I think CL is about 3 videos away from exposing the truth about the federal reserve and how fake money is used to control and kill us. I can't wait!

  • how much is one of them worth approx......?????

  • Love your video's mate and it was good to see some Australian stuff.

I'm not picking on ya or nothing and I know the accent will change the pronunciation but Kookaburra is said more like COOK-a-burra. So the KOOK is COOK.

  • Spelling !! sorry, 'Made' not mad !!

  • @CAIDMASTEROFPYRO 's Comment mad me go search for interest's sake and I never knew, Quote: "" Early European settlers to Australia called the Koala the Native Bear, and the Koala is still sometimes called the Koala Bear, but it is not a member of the bear family. In fact, it is not even a placental mammal (which most mammals are) - it is a marsupial. The Koala's scientific name --- >>

  • ---- >> from the Greek: phaskolos meaning "pouch" and; arktos meaning "bear". The cinereus epithet is Latin and means "ash-coloured". ""

  • Very nice and thoughtful gift, I have been to see his Channel, he is a Premier Channel on this subject I cannot imagine anyone who is into this even in a little way, not having his Channel sub'd eh - very informative. Nice vid as always Jeff,, and yes, I agree with the comment below, you do deserve this kind of thoughtful gift, as good thing's happen to good people eh. 5X5

  • that is really cool of john . people like john are very rare. i feel like i should be thanking you.

  • i don't think it was a ten ounce coin because it said ten dollars on the back and ten ounces is worth more than ten bucks

  • australia

  • Lol, please excuse the 14 year-old from my country. Not to say that all 14 year-olds are unintelligent, but CAIDMASTEROFPYRO's comments were a bit embarrassing for even me to read.

  • who are you talking about and what country

  • face value is an older concept, this was worth $10 in australia when silver was worth alot less, as silver gained value the face value never changed...

  • Interesting that Canada's 1 oz silver coin, the Maple Leaf, has a face value of $CD 5, while Aussie and US silver 1 oz coins are only face value $1. =^[.]^=

  • Canada has some coins with a face value of a dollar, that are approaching 1 oz.

Speaking of which, check out Canada's 2010 Commemorative Navy silver coin.......thing looks neat.

  • @cutlerylover The coin has a currency value - which gives it that status. I think the elite know this, It may be they don't have to pay tax on it when it is converted?

  • @CAIDMASTEROFPYRO I am still getting to the bottom of this. They put a monitory value on the coin. It gives it a currency status. I want to know the reason why this is so important.

  • don't call it a koala bear koalas are not bears i can't think of any bears that live in trees and eat only leaves

  • @CAIDMASTEROFPYRO

Well, what about "drop bears?" Oh, wait... they live in trees, but only eat tourists. =^[.]~=

  • what the fuck

  • @CAIDMASTEROFPYRO

Sorry. The whole "drop bear" thing is probably long before your time. It was an urban legend, of sorts, in Australia years back that some Koalas grew to enormous sizes and would "drop" onto the backs of unsuspecting tourists and eat them. Just a little joke to make visitors wary. For a chuckle, Google "drop bear" and look at the Wiki entry.=^[.]^=

  • yah I know its a marsupial, but you cant blame me, here is the states in almost every zoo I have ever been to as a kid peopel have said koala bear, lol...dont know why that started but thats what people say...anyway did you know they are literally high all the time from eating eucalyptus...

  • Yeah, John's a really good guy, and I consider the YouTube community pretty lucky to have people like him sharing his insights with us for free. The same is true for most of the YouTubers who regularly do videos. They don't have to take their time to do vids to inform other people about things they NEED to know, but they do. Great stuff!

  • Thanks for all the videos on your precious metals. You got me looking to start investing on some silver! Keep them videos coming...Thanks

  • That is a really cool thing for someone to do for you. Usually you'll just get a plug or a nice comment, but a real gift like that for you was a VERY generous thought, and he just earned himself at least one more subscriber for this.

Keep it up, CL. You honestly deserve gifts like this. Have a good one!

  • John really is a sweet and generous person. :)

Kudos on the gift!!! You must have really done one hell of a vid to deserve all that silver! :-0

  • How much is that big coin worth?

  • that was nice of him

  • every person from austraillia i have ever met was very kind, i want to move down there....

  • i dont understand about those first coins you showed. you can spend them and they are worth a $1 in Australia? but they are also 1 troy of silver?

if so thats pretty crazy, what if you were working somewhere and someone paid you with that $10 coin that was really worth hundreds of dollars

  • yes the coisnm themselves have face value so in australia its $1 nywhere and can be used that way, but not many woudl do that knowing its worth more in silver...

  • Then you put ten bucks in the register and keep the coin! hahaha

  • I love those kookaburra ones, they have amazing detail on them.

  • here in Iceland the water has alot of sulfur in it. i don't know if its that or something else but if you have a silver ring or something silver that you wash with hot water it turns yellowish-brownish collor. kinda sad :/

  • @0xXCSSXx0

    Sulpher? Blimy...

  • All of mine is of the junk variety,( And well circulated). Next step, is to acquire some of those freshly minted works of art.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Those are some really beautiful coins you have there mate.

    For anyone interested.

    Kookaburra is pronounced 'Cook-a-burra'

    and Koala's are just that...Koala's.

We do not say Bears here in australia as they are not bears and are not related to them. Just a little help for you all, incase you ever come down under for a visit.

  • hey look up the £5 coin its pretty big

  • that whole loads has to be worth a heck of alot theres like 20 troys there

  • Jeff, those are fantastic looking coins. I have a nice american silver dollar or 2. I actually use mine in my water canteen for keeping the water sanitized :)

Dont worry about opening them, but you may want to look at something to prevent oxidization.

  • great idea, I have seen alot of videos on colloidal silver

  • It works very well. in NZ the tap water is all good to drink, but when it sits in a canteen for a couple of days it can go stale because of the flouride and other stuff we put in. You really can notice the difference in flavor that silver adds to the water. just a small coin will do the job.

  • that is amazing iv always loved coins and thats cool

  • Why would you open it? >:(

  • why not, it came without the case originaly...

  • worthless now that you opened it

  • rubbish.

  • Uhh, it still has the silver value, and that doesn't change the value of the coin itself if you open it.

  • @semperfiedausten those are just protective cases .opening them does not lower the coins value. its still worth its silverprice and always will be worth the current price no matter how it looks.

if you talk about collectors value then its still no biggie because these cases can be opened and closed without breaking a thing and as long as you dont damage the silver coin it doesnt matter. besides most of the time you only get the value of current silver prices and not much more

  • your kidding right? I can literally crap all over it wash it off and its still owrht the same...

  • We don't want to see that video :)

  • just sharing the new silver and I need to publicaly thank him for the very generous gift

  • I was joking about the crap on it line. All good stuff

  • Loving that sort of hammered finish on that Panda it also looks like the same for the Cocaberras (im not gonna even attempt to spell that) feathers,Great video,I love Johns videos extremely intelligent man,Thanks for the recommendation

  • ur not supposed to open it

  • What a nice person john is

  • wow that was nice of him.

  • Thank god for money on paper, otherwise I would need a new wallet with coins like that.

  • sends him a couple balisongs in the mail :P

  • that coin is HUGE!!

  • wow!

  • Wow. That is really nice of him. That coin almost gave me a heart attack!

  • Tank John for making that video possible.

  • no probs jeff and thanks for the huge shoutout that boosted subs bigtime - least i could do.

    cheers

    john

  • well it was very much appreciated!

  • I don't know if you mentioned this in the video- but what's John's youtube account? I'd like to see some of his vids on silver/ gold. (assuming he has some lol)

  • here i am ;)

  • lol hey man

  • lol, sorry just addes his link to the description box too...

  • WOW is the 10 oz a coin or a round?

when i saw the 10oz in you hand my jaw dropped

  • I beleive its a round, sort of a commemerative due to its size, but I dont know for sure? not that I woudl use it in Australia to buy something ,lol

  • lol excuse me sir but my coin does not fit in the coin slot !

thanks for sharing i know this was a think you vid but i found it educational

  • @Hissatsu5

That ten oz Kook is actually a $AU 10 legal tender coin! Any gov't issued bullion with a face value is a coin, even if you'd never want to spend it at face value. =^[.]^=

  • thanks for the info some day i will brake down and buy me one

  • wow! pays to make great vids! too bad i dont have anything you would want, or at least, i dont want to get rid of.

  • does anyone something under $50(CAD) that i could buy?

  • you could get a 2oz or 1oz round for that (about 20 usd per oz)

  • wow that was really nice of him, he gave you a lot of $ worth of silver!

  • 5/5

  • Very Generous

  • cool video that was nice of John. love the 10 piece.

  • damn u got payed nice

  • Great video Jeff. You might want to use a cotton glove to handle the coins. The oil on your skin might stain them.

  • Thats a cool present !

  • Good stuff!

  • I just got an American Silver Eagle back in December, now I am addicted to gold, silver, etc.

  • great vid jeff

  • John you are a true gentleman, that 600 BC coin is beautiful! Help my how can I get one of those? (I live in Europe) I could send my address to you...

Jeff you're lucky to have such quality fans... You deserve it.

  • I need a friend like John! LOL!!

    Five Stars!!

  • Queen Elizabeth is like the queen of the world. Not really. But shes on alot of currency So thats why i think that :) . And i dont know if you remember i pm'd you and said id make a vid on my silver. I have just been super busy. So ill make it tomorrow.. But i have some coins from king George ( If that is the right name) Which i think is 1970 and below. I have a few of them. And some silver Canadian dollars etc. I dont know why im telling you but. Just you got me in the interest of (Coins).

  • LOL yeah it was King George below 1970..

Do you have all the Vancouver quarters and luckie loonies?

  • No, its a very small collection. I'm doing a video right now.

  • Not even the circulated ones?

I'm missing a few to complete my collection..

I also have a silver nickel commemorating the Royal Military College of Canada..........

  • Don't know why I spelled lucky as luckie...

  • I'd be really funny if the Australian guy was expecting those coins back and then sees this video :P

  • That's awesome!

  • lol id laugh if john was wantin them back

  • awesome coins. very generous. :)

  • bad ass coins!!!! you should send john some knifes and some zippos!!

  • nice 5/5

  • Cool vid, now you should also try getting old coins too, but that probably not the reason you collecting them but just for the metals market than as a coin collector.

  • jackpot, very nice

  • send him a knife, lol

  • Very generous indeed. John is a wonderful guy.

  • Those are awesome Jeff, I love the one with the bear on it and that big coin is really nice. I am really liking these silver video's, good job. 5/5

  • wow..he sent u $400 worth silver coin for free......

  • man, i need to make friends with john. lol

  • Nice coins! Wow is right!!! Looks great!

  • Looks like I'll be the first to say this for John/Stella: Shiny!

Looks like he liked something you said or did. Awesome! =^[.]^=

  • Hey Jeff why don't you attach the giant coin to that necklace you were wearing during your last update video?

That would be some SERIOUS BLING

  • The vending machine that 10oz coin goes in must be huge!

  • I don't know man. I probably would have handled my coins with some vynil gloves on or something. That's usually what I do when I'm polishing my chains and pendents. Gold doesn't really tarnish like silver so I would be a little more diligent. Save you time from having to bust out the baking soda.

  • I inly touched the sides, but I dont midn handlign my silver I cna always polish before sale if need be...

  • true. I just have ocd I guess.

  • is that huge coin made of solid silver?

  • yep. silver is relatively cheap

  • yes solid .999 fine silver..

  • Sorry Jeff. I really don't mean to be rude, please don't take this the wrong way, but I don't like this precious metal stuff, but you're still producing quality videos and pleasing the people who do like it, so good on you, keep going.

  • thats 100% ok... I cant think everyone will love every video, I just cover too many subjects and hobbies, lol.,dont worry other vids to come..

  • Lol....stella seems to have enough of this stuff :-D

Maybe you could give him my shipping adress as well ^^

  • damn, i want such a big one!

  • When you say $1 coin, does that mean it is worth one dollar? or what ?

  • @allusernamestaken12 That is what they are worth if used as currency, they are really worth about $30-$40.

  • Thanks!

    Sorry I'm a noob :P

  • wow that was extremely nice of stella concepts! i love those kookaburras and koalas

  • cool coins jeff :)
