@TheJustinDH Ok you're a fucking idiot. Sweeping does not constitute a good guitarist. It's usually what bad guitarists use to attempt to sound good. Ironically enough though, sweeps sound like shit, cheesy and stupid. Rhoads DID NOT SWEEP. That last part doesn't even make sense. There's a reason Rhoads is worshipped by Yngwie, Paul Gilbert, Steve Vai, and Satch, and not Laiho. Because he was fucking GOD among men.

@TheJustinDH Yep! If you were any smarter you'd have Prostate Cancer, but you already proved that with the whole Rhoads/sweeping dilemma. No Metal sound? Have you heard Racer X? Yes he shreds but he also has excellent riffs. Laiho's melodies consist of drop tuning and liquid farts coming out of the pickups. It helps to know things about what you're trying to talk about instead of spewing verbal diarrhea that doesn't hold any water. No pun intended.

@RiceKiller191 first off Laiho uses C standard tuning because he plays lead, and DOES SCREAM VOCALS (which gilbert can't), secondly i was right about the Rhoads having something going for him line, and Laiho just used that to his advantage...and nice statement "liquid farts coming out of the pickups" could be worse could be complete arrogance coming out of them like when gilbert plays and his sweeps sound like you just lost on a game, kinda reminds me of dragonforce...not metal...lame

He uses effects to create a certain feeling and flow to his albums but I'm sure you already knew that from all those Mr. Big and Solo albums you have. So Gilbert can't capture the sound of a guitar, yet Laiho can? That makes sense cuz Laiho is you know, Honorary Dean of GIT in Japan, not Gilbert. SO yep! You're right!
