  • Nice, but your cubemap faces are incorrectly oriented, which creates those ugly seams. You need to flip some of them to make them align properly.

  • Nobody ever posts the names of the music involved in their video descriptions :/

What is it please mate? It's very similar to Pink Floyds old stuff, reminds me of 'Pigs' hehe

  • @ANFTAMMI4EVER It is Pink Floyd. The music is "Atom heart mother", part are ending of "Father's Shout" and "Breast Milky" (one of my favorite part of this suite).

Atom Heart Mother was Pink Floyds first progressive piece of music and is a turning point of their musical style from an old psyhodelic rock into more serious progressive rock.

  • hello what is this nice progressive MUSIC ???!!!

    thanks,

    nico

  • That is one sexy teapot!

  • I think relief mapping shadows itself.

  • what kind of formula do u youse on the elephant? custom brdf function?

  • I think the parallax and relief mapping are the best visual bumps

  • oops maybe i meant concave

  • i bet relief mapping is awesome for entirely convex internal walls. you wouldnt be able to see any edges where it looks fake.

  • Cool, im still learing gouraud...

  • Atom Heart Mother?

  • awesome. ;)

  • parallax mapping rulz.

  • Can someone tell me what the technical difference between Bump-mapping and Parallax-mapping is?

  • Bump mapping only uses a normal map (or some calculation thereof) to reflect light and look non-flat. Parallax mapping uses the camera's coordinates and a heighmap on the texture to calculate what part of the texture you would actually see if it was raised. Parallax mapping allows parts of the texture to occlude other parts.

  • Standard parallax mapping doesn't include occlusion. The method is very simple and doesn't really slow down the shader.

  • @phlogios

Bump mapping, or normal mapping, is a technique that creates the illusion of 3D objects on a surface relative to a light source. Parallax mapping actually extrudes faces or vertices and then maps the lighting from there. Normal mapping is usually used for things like cloth or the texture of a wall, While Parallax Mapping is usually used for something along the lines of steping stones or bricks.
