They suck, but it's awesome to get 3-6 hours of college credit for about $50 (if you have to pay. Certain counties in TN don't have to pay.) When I started as a freshman in college, I already had a semester's worth in credit because of AP and dual enrollment.

@TacticalShinobi really i take it for free in new orleans and get $300 for each 3 or higher except for history I just credit, which doesn't help since a college can make you take the class again

@erica4456 WHAT THE HECK!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?! That is so jacked up. I think the benefits are so high because (not to bash people in New Orleans) but the average scores are fairly low. I think the collegeboard just wants to encourage people and they do that by paying kids. In Virginia the average scores are probably higher so they know more people are smarter and more willing to take the exam so the benefits are low. Anyways that is one of the schools; we have to pay for our tests at my school.
