For a sophisticated helicopter Airwolf seemed to have a flaw regarding it's aircraft recognision memory banks, In the pilot film when the Helicopter was crewed by it's rogue creator James Moffat, Airwolf is at one point being pursued by what are identified by Rafaele fighters, but the aircraft images come up as a btype of Russian built MiGs either the 27 or 25 series
