  • How about all the human excriment that left new orleans to go violate other cities? My city has seen a 300% (yes, three hundred percent) increase in murder after katrina evacuees came here. wanna know the most called out suspect description: black male age 20-30. And yes, our pd has done the numbers, the murder rate among locals is down, but the murders committed by katrina evacuees has surmounted and surpassed that three times over. Feds were right...shoulda let them all die in nola.

  • st bernard was 1 of the best places i have ever been1 i worked @ toca gas compressor station 9mths in 04.almost moved there.the people of the parish treated us like we had been there 4ever!i will never forget my experances there!BE STRONG AND GOD BLESS!

  • Unbelievable! There is not much more to say about what happend to the poor people of Hurricane Katrina except, unbelievable. I often wonder, what happened to the homeless, the jailed, the sick. Where was GOD! There is a saying ,that every thing happens for a reason, "what was the reason for that masive destruction?" we will never know.

  • St. Bernard forever. My parish. My home. I'm in Metairie and HATE it. There was no place like it. Warm and friendly, you knew everyone. A piece of heaven on earth. Shame on our country for abandoning us. Thank you Royal Canadian Mounties!

  • Let's also remember that the Police of St. Bernard Parish, turned all of the black residents of New Orleans away at GUNPOINT.

  • It was not St.Bernard Parish that did that. St.Bernard was under 20 foot deep water for almost 3 weeks. It was Gretna. I had a friend that stayed home in St.Bernard the water was in the attic. They were on the roof. Another friend's mom refused to leave and died. My mother-in-law's house had water in her attic too.

  • Why would the black residents want to go into St.bernard in the first place? It was worse than New Orleans. You comment is just plain stupid

  • Excuse me? What gaul do you have saying that? You obviously didn't live there. You were probably a Northshore resident. St. Bernard Parish was a great place to live.
