  • I have 2 epiphone limited edition 50th anniversary 1961 Sg reissues. The beat the gibson reissue by a country mile. The are also preferd over the gibson model by vintage guitar collectors. Once you pick one up you can see-feel and hear why there simply brilliant Sg's hands down!

  • Eric Clapton-Jack Bruce-Ginger Baker over led zeppelin any day. Edward Van halen-Alex Van halen-David Lee Roth-Michael Anthony the Mighty Classic Van halen over them both Hands down.

  • The Epiphone custom shop limited edition 50th anniversary 1961 sg is much better than the Gibson model hands down! The only differnce between the two is the Epiphone is way under priced like the rest of there brilliant guitars are.

  • why did creams bassist hated led zeppelin so much, i think hes just jealous.

  • work on being clean on your solos and your frazing needs work too work on your bends

  • 4/4 shuffle feel peeps...

  • Out of curiosity, why did you cover "How Many More Times" in 4/4?

  • @goodep2 I think the song is in 4/4 time signature, am I wrong on that? I just listened to the Led Zepplin version just now. Thanks for listening!

    Bill

  • @wnorcott The version on I is played in 3/4.

  • Comment removed

  • @wnorcott No dude it's in 6/8, Thats what gives the song it's swing groove, in 4/4 it has no groove.

  • @noremac91 Well thanks brother, I stand corrected. Thanks for listening

  • @noremac91 Actually he's right. This song isn't 6/8, its 4/4.

  • You have a very nice setup I'm jealous but im gonna have to honest the playing was terrible i thought i heard some sunshine solo in there but you really need to work on the vibrato/tremolo that Clapton does when he plays and be confident in your notes and really dig the pick in that's Clapton playing style. Really love the guitar though very nice. With some work you could really get good this vid is kinda old you might have improved, Thanks Mac

  • @hendrix950 Thanks for listening brother. That was more than two years ago. Check out my latest stuff on my channel page I have made more than 200 videos since then. Thanks.

    Bill

  • What the fuck?

Led Zeppelin without Jimmy would be Feather Zeppelin!

  • @longnamesarebetter2 Thanks for listening. A bit of lively debate never hurt YouTube.

    Bill

  • wow, replacing jimmy with eric, would have just meant no zeppelin! who would want that!!! are you insane?

  • eric clapton sucks technique wise

he doesnt even know how to solo within chord changes

he just plays minor pentatonic licks over everything and it can get old but i do like listening to him sometimes

    jimmy page is just awesome

he always sounds fresh and he pays attention to chord changes

  • Eric Clapton wouldn't play music like zeppelin did- and Bonham's sound wouldn'y have worked with Clapton in my opinion- Three great musicians don't make a great band. Led Zeppelin was great because all the parts worked together so well. Imagine a world without Stairway to Heaven or When the Levee breaks- Horrifying. Zeppelin and Cream had ridiculously different styles and sounds... co comparison really.

  • LEARN TO PLAY

    You are awful.

  • @wingedmonkeyofoz Thanks for listening brother. I went to your channel page to bask in your guitar genius but could not find any of your playing there.

  • I have this same model but Epiphone SG Jr and im getting intonation problems (not the tuning) and the height of the string can't get that low i wonder if this is a gibson trademark of having the string a little bit high... i maxed the limit and still feels high. Anyone can advice me?

  • Try changing the stock bridge to a Badass bridge that is what I did on this 1963 SG which originally had non-adjustable bridge saddles.

    Bill

  • I liked it. could you do a demo some time? I would love to hear what the middle position and neck sound like on that thing. Did you use only the bridge pickup on this one?

  • Thanks for listening. It sounds great in all 3 positions. I do think this song was mostly bridge pickup yes. I will record another song with it soon.

    Bill

  • Extra sloppy is not a good thing in guitar playing .

  • i love eric clapton hes prolly my biggest guitar idol but he didnt have the rawness of jimmy page in which i meen he jimmy didnt mind if it sounded to sloppy eric would juts not fit it but i think if you have Robert plant Jimmy Page Eric Clapton JPJ and John bonham that would sound awsome

  • White color SG.

    I like it

  • polaris white to be correct.

  • Why'd you put a straight drum track under a shuffle riff. Doesn't it sound a bit odd to you?

  • WHATS THE MUSIC????????

  • you cant posibly compair those to band first cuz ur versions sucked and cuz there way to different

  • Both bands had former Yardbirds ;p

  • Eric clapton wasn't a band he was a person!!!

  • he was talking about cream

  • Yeah it's the solo from Sunshine...and why oh why is there a straight drum pattern under a shuffle track?! Lol...

  • Because I have no idea how how to make a $70 drum machine sound like Jon Bonham lol. Thanks for listening.

    Bill

  • Sorry for the slightly snobbish comment btw :/ the SG is gorgeous, btw! Just got a deal on a '65 SG Standard, it's missing the p/ups and machine heads, but found a correct set of machines on eBay and not sure which p/ups to go for...but to fund that I've had to let my SG Classic with P90's go - LOVE the P90 sound!!! Will have to get my hands on a proper 'special' one day...

  • I don't think a drum machine would do Bonham justice :)

  • @CadillacL Jason Bonham cant do JB justice lol...no offense to him but Jb is one of a kind!!

  • eric clapton and jimmy page ripped off every single thing ever.

jimy page is only sloppy cause he is drunk

    this guy sucks

  • they only usually covered old blues standards. And what the hell are you supposed to do, ask politely to borrow them?

The songs Led Zeppelin covered sound totally different anyways

  • yeah, but he makes up for sloppiness with versatility

  • I want that guitar so badly....nice playing!

  • jimmy page ripped off many artists so he is not as original as many think he is

and he was a very sloppy guitar player too !

    so

    eric wins!

  • so if a computer plays the notes more correctly , that makes a computer better than Clapton // is that your meaning ?

  • I Like the wrap around tailpiece... That's VINTAGE CORRECT for you youngsters...

  • Jimmy 4ever

  • jimmy page is better than eric clapton

  • I am inclined to agree with you there and Page is a much better songwriter.

However I like the sound of old Clapton during his Yardbirds, John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, and Cream eras. There is still a lot to be learned from listening to old Clapton.

    Bill

  • @metzepp at first you could compare the two but now clapton has gone into different musical styles, although i prefer his days with cream

  • Tabs? How can I have "tabs" for a song I wrote myself? I am just having fun and jamming from start to finish. Sorry if you don't like it though. Some people get too serious about their "guitar heroes" but I don't

  • way to mix two great bands. good on ya!

  • it sounds like your playign sunshine of your love" over "How many more times"

sound spretty good though =], love your SG

  • I think Gibson SG with P-90's is one of the best tones EVER heard in rock 'n roll history!

    Congratulations!

  • Thanks for listening.
