  • Great song!!!! Greetings to you John.

  • @231152johny - Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment. I really do appreciate what others have to say and think about my songs. This one started out as a "silly" little love song. I really believe the world needs more of them.

  • This was pretty good, great job.

  • @MrDeathticle - Thanks.

  • @NZMuttenchops - Thank you.

  • Simple and sweet. Touching :)

  • @MurkyNightmist - Thanks.

  • Hey, just wanted to say that this video is very sweet. I cried from the simplicity of it and because you remind me of my father. He played the acoustic guitar when I was little and would write cute and simple songs like this and sing them to me when I was sad. I just moved half-way across the country away from him going out on my own and I miss him so much. Thanks for reminding me of him. =)

  • @Drassielle - I also have a song posted called "The Pain Never Does Go Away". After 6 years, I was able to write about my feelings after having lost my only son to a drug overdose. He was 31 years old, but he still was my only son, and the pain never does go away. The lyrics to this song are very "generic" and could describe so many different scenarios. Give it a listen, if you can find the time...thanks for the kinds words and for taking the time to comment. Appreciate it...

  • such a nice chinese cigarette voice

  • @wannabeescatman - I never smoked Chinese cigarettes. I don't even smoke American cigarettes. Smoking is not a good thing...especially for voices.

  • @johnnieguitarII say that to elbow :) but its good that u dont so u can make music longer ^^

  • @wannabeescatman - I don't know what saying anything to an elbow will do, but I do love making music.

  • This was good! :D

  • @Axtros1024 - Good is not bad.

  • How pleasant.

  • @madhatterten - Pleasant is better than unpleasant.

  • @johnnieguitarII Define pleasant: affording pleasure; being in harmony with your taste or likings; "we had a pleasant evening together"; "a pleasant scene"; "pleasant sensations"

(of persons) having pleasing manners or behavior; "I didn't enjoy it and probably wasn't a pleasant person to be around"

I loved its simpleness. Who cares what others think, when you are in love you know it. If that feeling comes at first site, who is to say you are wrong. I love it!

  • @madhatterten - I had Paul McCartney's "Silly Love Song" in mind when I wrote this. His statement in the song, "You'd think the world has had enough silly love songs...I look around me and I see that isn't so...oh no." And I just let the "silly" idea of falling in love at first sight fall into play. My sister said, "I fell in love at first sight, then I took a second look..." LOL...she makes me laugh.

  • @johnnieguitarII Hahahahahahahahahahahah!

  • @madhatterten - Exactly...

  • @johnnieguitarII I love that you took the time to reply! BTW, I found your video linked from Ronald Jenkees, you might want to check him out if you don't already! He is a musical genius, a savant in my eyes! I want to see more from you!

  • A wonderful song! Youtube needs more talented people such as yourself

  • @themightyredwood - thanks, your words are very kind and I truly appreciate them.

  • realy surprise nice such a nice feeling in this song

great .. hope she feels the same way

  • @billyboy80 - thanks

  • sir you've got the simplicity and beauty that moved a kid drowned in electronic music....this kid

  • @13amin70 - You needn't drown in electronic music. I have several electric guitars, but I prefer the nylon classical acoustic sound of a guitar. It has the sound that was there before electronic guitars and gadgets.

  • RONALD IS STILL ALIVE!!!

  • @ForgeableGamer - Who is Ronald? I'm glad he is still alive and well, I hope.

  • @johnnieguitarII Ronald Jenkees is the inspiration to my piano skills that i have today :)

search: laid back organ jam click on the first one

by the way the reason i said RONALD IS STILL ALIVE is because he doesn't make as many videos as he use to do and lots of people think he's dead because he stopped making music for so long. i was just exaggerating that ronald is still alive :)

  • @ForgeableGamer My thought exactly.

  • i like the sound of your voice, it's really calming and relaxing, i just stumbled upon this while i was sitting on my balcony enjoying a beautiful evening, and you made it even better

  • @orbulon - So glad you found it. Thanks for the kind words.

  • epic beard man !! :D

  • @treesapa - I'm growing it even longer....

  • @Acoustictalk - Thanks.

  • @johnnieguitarII thats amazing :0

  • Really enjoyed this tune John, your lyrics have a very open and honest quality about them, nothing too flowery..Once again the guitar playing is spot on, nice work mate, robbo

  • @robbolandsvids - Hey Robbo, thanks for the comment. I appreciate your taking the time to listen and comment., it really means a lot to me. I keep looking for song ideas and keep coming back to "silly little love songs", and the world sure has room for more of them.

  • Bful voice, well done

  • @orangejunk20 - Thanks for the comment !!

  • Good job, John!

  • @TheRealjohnny2k - We are rehearsing a version of this song with the band. I have come up with an interesting arrangement for it. We hope to post it this week end.

  • This song has potential. If you've heard the song, it stays in your head.

  • @Rietkamp - You're not the first person to tell me that. It is what a songwriter strives to compose, a song that is catchy, has a hook and one that the listener keeps in their head after hearing it. It is not something that can be achieved with every song you write. Thanks for listening and the comment. I really appreciate it.

  • late, but leave my green thumb

  • @Lumdatalbahn - Thanks

  • Cool

  • @AnyeForti - Short and sweet....

  • very nice song well written!!

  • @DeanNTia - Haven't you ever heard that song, "Love is beautiful, the second time around"??? Frank Sinatra sang it. But we've brought it to 2011 way by doing it with the band..."I Fell In Love At First Sight" by 2nd Tyme Around. We are now the 4th edition of the 2nd Tyme Around. And they said that the 3rd Tyme Is a Charm !!! Oh and for your information ( FYI ) you're not as bad as me. I'm the worst !!! ;-)

  • Hello Johnnie, I really enjoy your authentic way of making music!

Don't know if you ever plan to visit Amsterdam but if you do so,you're invited to come to my place for one day and professionally record your songs. If you can't make it all the way to Amsterdam than I hope that someone else in your neighbourhood will give you the same opportunity! I will be the first one who will purchase your CD :-) Thank you for your music

  • @joffryarthur - I appreciate the offer and I must say that I don't plan on being in Amsterdam in the near future, however you are certainly making it desirable to consider. Thanks for the kind words of encouragement, that in itself speaks volumes to my ears. I couldn't ask for more.

  • @OfficialM8Music .."A million love songs cannot explain, the magic, joy, the love and pain,

You've given me an inspiration, to sit and write a new creation.

Another love song from the heart, When will it end, when will it start.

No, there can never be enough, Songs of love and all that stuff.

Love is deep, I heard you say, and touches everyone in a different way.

I'll close and thank you once again, We'll talk, but we just don't know when."

    Framat

  • @2009framat ...I like your comment...short and to the point...thank you.

  • Pro quality performance and composition.

I wish the lyrics were less romantic. A little bitterness and pain in the words would have been great The chord sequence is nice as well as the playing.

  • @JGarcia658 ...Bitterness and pain and then the song would have been; "I knew it the first time I saw you, a real stabbing pain in my back. I knew that we would be divorced soon, you'd already planned your attack. I knew there was no other someone, could fill me with such dispair...For you have made me a believer...That our love is going nowhere..." No I'm sorry...it doesn't work for me...but I could have wrote it that way....LOL

  • @johnnieguitarII

Ha, ha: I meant a little bit of despair and insecurity. For example listen to the lyrics of I Go to Pieces by Peter and Gordon, If I Fell by John Lennon, Before and After by Chad and Jeremy, Time Won't Let me by The Outsiders, Don't You Care by The Buckinghams, stc. In other words many classic love songs have to do with unrequited love. IMHO your lyrics are too sweet. OTOH, the music is very strong and very interesting. That is why I crave different lyrics.

  • @JGarcia658 I knew exactly what you meant, but I was approaching this one as another silly love song, like McCartney's "Silly Love Songs" with the shmultzy lyrics that ARE too sweet. Anyone who could fall in love at first sight would definitely fall into that category. What you are suggesting is a total rewrite of the lyrics entirely, with maybe even a different title. Interesting...I'll play with your suggestion. At any rate, thanks for the feedback.

  • just the bottom half reminds me of santa clause

  • @iceymanjack ...The bottom half of the song or the bottom half of my beard?

  • you wrote this? nicely done, i love the composition.

  • @gjgjg123 ...Yes I wrote this song...and thanks for your kind words...

  • Sweet song!Made me feel good:)

  • @guitarlawyer75 ...I'm glad to hear that it made you feel good...I felt good about it right after I sang it for the first time. Thanks again.

  • Awesome!! I enjoyed this very much. All the best and thumbs up. G.

  • @guruofpiano ...Thank you so much for taking the time to give it a listen...I really do apprecitate the feedback.

  • Hi John, this is a beautiful song, very authentic.

    Best wishes, Guenter

  • @GuenterGeurts ...Thanks for you comment. I really do appreciate your opinion. Best wishes to you as well.

  • hey there john! it's always a pleasure to hear your new songs, but these time you really nailed it!

    i loved the chord progression!

  • @elcerry ...I appreciate your kind words and glad that you enjoyed this song. I'm working on an arrangement to do it with my band, 2nd Tyme Around. I've worked out some nice harmony lines for it. Can't wait to record a version of it with the band.

  • Perfect !

  • @djdede ...Thanks.

  • Hey Johnnie,

I REALLY enjoyed this one. Beautiful words and I love the chord changes!! Very well done. You are the man!!!!!!!!!!!! BSP

  • @BeatleSongPlayer ...Coming from a Beatle Song Player that means a lot. Thank you so much.

  • A fantastic composition....and performance. I really enjoy original material.

Just curious, how long did it take you compose this piece from concept to performance?

  • @bryanrobertson ...From concept to performance? It took about 45 minutes to write the lyrics. Some times they come easy. I wanted to keep the "hook" in each verse and in the refrain as well.. There was actually one other verse that I didn't use, because it was made up of verses one and two. The melody just came to me as I sang the lyrics for the first time. I'll say the total time from concept to perfromance was a little over an hour. Thanks for asking
