Great finish, and Renshaw did an amazing job, finishing second after such effort and just breaking the peloton in little bits.
But did these commentators just said nobody won 6 stages in the TdF before? If so, they have no right to have that job: the record's still at 8 stage victories in a single TdF (Pelissier, Maertens and Merckx did it even two times).
MBE and Marky met the Queen yesterday! Aint that a blast. Do some votes peeps cos Mark's up for SPTY again this year. And we really need to get it for Mark cos it's a crap list with none of the girls on there. Not Vicky, not Emma - bloody farce.
mark is so damn fast. at first i thought he is cheap winning all the stages with his teams help. but nothing is stopping other teams. but then of course youd loose in the over all standings if you have a sprint heavy team and no climbers. so in the end there is only a couple of teams with the ability to finish like HTC did this year
what a totally amazing sprinter mark is, you their love him or hate him, well i love and hate him,, love him bcuz he is the best and i hate him bcuz he is to dam fast hehehe, its gonna be some time before some can take away his crown, your the best mark ever ,
That wasn't a sprint. That was a demonstration of excellence. Normally it's a photo finish, but Cav was miles ahead. Gotta give massive props to Hincapie for his lead out. He did that with a broken collarbone!
@DzaveD@DzaveD that's the average of the whole day and the last day (this was the last day) they start very slow. Mark Cavendish hitted 74km/h in this sprint.
Such brilliant work all the way! They were riding fast and Renshaw killed every competition and at the end Mark Cavendish shows that he is the best sprinter in the race! awesome......
Keep in mind that Hincapie's collar bone is broken at this time, yet he is throwing his bike around at probably 800 watts. Epic. Chuck Norris would surely tip his hat.
This is how you destroy a sprint. If you want to know how to win as a team, watch this video.
At the time, I thought he was so good because of the Columbia teamwork, but this year, he lost Hincapie, the other teams have started breaking the Columbia train at the front, the Tour kicked out Renshaw, and still nobody can come close to him.
this is nothing short but of panomenial technique and trust within team mates, i must admit that HTC Colombia are brill @ team work&i hope that they win many more stages in the tours that they compete in!!! :)*
at 1:20 Hincapie's done his work. He goes to the centre of the "group" so the two Garmin guys had to go around him. Very smart of him, because that's why they have to break in the turn. After the turn, they can't catch up anymore because
Unbelievable speed! And amazing work from Renshaw and Hincapie. BTW, Hincapie took sweet revenge for Garmin not letting him take the yellow jersey a few stages earlier.
We are really going to be in for a treat next year when Renshaw does his own thing as a sprinter. I can't wait.

@888peanut888 Also you can only afford to put the whole team behind a sprinter if they deliver the goods consistantly and Cav certaintly does that.

too bad i don't like the headbuts and childish characters of the HTC-highroad team
cavendish is the fastest sprinter on earth but i dislike him cause he's childish and not mature compared to petachi, hushovd, farar,..
but yeah this was a stunning finish and he'll prob do it again this year
