  • We are really going to be in for a treat next year when Renshaw does his own thing as a sprinter. I can't wait.

  • Great finish, and Renshaw did an amazing job, finishing second after such effort and just breaking the peloton in little bits.

But did these commentators just said nobody won 6 stages in the TdF before? If so, they have no right to have that job: the record's still at 8 stage victories in a single TdF (Pelissier, Maertens and Merckx did it even two times).

  • @MasterBombadillo no, they say that no British rider... xxxx

  • @MasterBombadillo

They said no British rider ...

  • 1:39 that guy cut it pretty close there with the motorbike

  • MBE and Marky met the Queen yesterday! Aint that a blast. Do some votes peeps cos Mark's up for SPTY again this year. And we really need to get it for Mark cos it's a crap list with none of the girls on there. Not Vicky, not Emma - bloody farce.

  • mark cavendish is super fast and mark renshaw is fast that he could sprint agents mark cavendish.

  • I think this is the best sprint from cav!:P

  • If you don't break up the team work ...

This is Mark Renshaw ....... no British cyclist has ever been close to winning to winning five stages of the Tour de France.

  • he's amazing !!

  • Cav should focus on hills all year until the Tour 2012 and try for the big one.

  • @eXPerienceyeah Never gonna happen, he'll never beat the skinny guys in the mountains.

  • On the evening of Sunday 18 December 2011 remember to ALL VOTE for MARK CAVENDISH to WIN BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2011 vote4cav.com

  • @TheDonWimble i think mo farah will win

  • mark is so damn fast. at first i thought he is cheap winning all the stages with his teams help. but nothing is stopping other teams. but then of course youd loose in the over all standings if you have a sprint heavy team and no climbers. so in the end there is only a couple of teams with the ability to finish like HTC did this year

  • @888peanut888 Also you can only afford to put the whole team behind a sprinter if they deliver the goods consistantly and Cav certaintly does that.

  • vote4cav.com

  • fuckin´rocket!!!^^

  • This looks more like a solo breakaway than a mass sprint.

  • lame

  • what a totally amazing sprinter mark is, you their love him or hate him, well i love and hate him,, love him bcuz he is the best and i hate him bcuz he is to dam fast hehehe, its gonna be some time before some can take away his crown, your the best mark ever ,

  • That wasn't a sprint. That was a demonstration of excellence. Normally it's a photo finish, but Cav was miles ahead. Gotta give massive props to Hincapie for his lead out. He did that with a broken collarbone!

  • I'm curious about his speed, it looks so fast! _O_

  • @TheAcidEiffel 40,61 km/h ....it looks faster but thats the speed

  • Comment removed

  • @DzaveD thats the overall stage speed. the final speed is above 70km/h

  • @musicandoutdoors i knew it was faster...thx :)

  • hincapie undisputed best right hand man of cycling

  • This is the best sprint ever in the history of the Tour de France.

  • too bad i don't like the headbuts and childish characters of the HTC-highroad team

cavendish is the fastest sprinter on earth but i dislike him cause he's childish and not mature compared to petachi, hushovd, farar,..

but yeah this was a stunning finish and he'll prob do it again this year

  • @bjornvb1991 Petacchi aint mature. He called Rojas a shit the other day.

  • Such brilliant work all the way! They were riding fast and Renshaw killed every competition and at the end Mark Cavendish shows that he is the best sprinter in the race! awesome......

  • When do we get live speed, watt and cadence of each rider? Would be so cool.

  • The commentators are fantastic.

  • schleck was second, not armstrong

  • 60kph? More?

  • @mambonumber9 more.. about 75-80kph

  • @icramer 74km/h

    And thats just inzane!!

  • Best guess, top speed of Cavendish at the end?

  • you can see how much power and effort hincapie and renshaw are putting out, so much pain, and cav just pulls away seemingly effortlessly!!

  • Keep in mind that Hincapie's collar bone is broken at this time, yet he is throwing his bike around at probably 800 watts. Epic. Chuck Norris would surely tip his hat.

  • Amazing Speed by Cavendish!!

  • Julian Dean is the business.

  • Hincapie is the best!!!

  • Cavendish is the devil

  • Amazing team Cavendish is a monster and Renshaw is a even bigger one..

  • lol the speaker said, "Alberto Contador finishes as 1st, and Armstrong is 2nd."

    Fail.

    It was: 1 A.Contador 2 A.Schleck 3 L.Armstrong

  • This is how you destroy a sprint. If you want to know how to win as a team, watch this video.

At the time, I thought he was so good because of the Columbia teamwork, but this year, he lost Hincapie, the other teams have started breaking the Columbia train at the front, the Tour kicked out Renshaw, and still nobody can come close to him.

    Cavendish is an absolute monster.

  • 75km/h??

    holy shit......

  • Mark isnt a missile... He`s a.. He`s a... What is faster than a missile? Got it! Mark is a Cavendish!

  • This is why he's already a legend. Cipolini never got through the mountains to even attempt to win here.

  • Fantastic!

  • this is nothing short but of panomenial technique and trust within team mates, i must admit that HTC Colombia are brill @ team work&i hope that they win many more stages in the tours that they compete in!!! :)*

  • formula for the perfect team:

    a dash of Hincapie

    a generous slice of Renshaw

And a dirty great lump of Cavendish!

  • love the last corner - renshaw takes such and aggressive line

    textbook!

  • at 1:20 Hincapie's done his work. He goes to the centre of the "group" so the two Garmin guys had to go around him. Very smart of him, because that's why they have to break in the turn. After the turn, they can't catch up anymore because

    1. They've lost a lot of speed

    2. Renshaw was unbelievable

  • without a good team, he could not win as many stages

  • @bogdan1989c duh! thanks for pointing out the amazingly obvious.... we'd never have noticed such a thing.

  • good job hincapie you are a good rider ,,,nice mark the flash cavendish youre no.1 sprinter

  • what an amazing finish..

  • Does any one have an actual top speed on this?

It was gobsmacking the way they just counter attacked and said "see yous later, don't know where, don't know when"

  • @davidoffon

in the current british cycle sport magazine issue they wrote that cavendish´s top speed was 75 kph!!!

  • ye no one was ever going 2 beat thr in a leadout

i mean in the end all team garmin did was take some of the workload from columbia. cav has 2 be the fastest sprinter at the moment

dont know how he'll do without hincapie next year though

  • Unbelievable speed! And amazing work from Renshaw and Hincapie. BTW, Hincapie took sweet revenge for Garmin not letting him take the yellow jersey a few stages earlier.

  • @mikroos Astana screwed him out of the yellow.

  • That team is unbeatable for sprint finishes.

  • Great work from hincapie!

  • @E1Life

its renshaw leading him to the finish line

  • @E1Life

Not only from Hincapie, I think the whole team did his best for this unbelieveable win!
