Thank u katie for ur comments .. i totally agree with u .. !!
I live in australia and i noticed that most australians (or actually western ppl) think of iraqis and middle easterns as terrorist, and it really makes me feel bad to see how the world sees my people while we are the ones suffering !!
i come from zayoona (the boys' district) but i haven't seen iraq since 2004, and it has changed dramatically over the past few years ,, which made me tear !!
thanks desertWiz :) oh btw. . .Ali, one of the guys from the documentary said he appreciated what i had to say. i don't want your country to lose it's culture, i just want you guys to live in peace :)
Hi there! I feel it is my duty to give you a pinch of reality here. First as an Iraqi, I must say thank you for feeling for the iraqi kids.
But it would be useful for you to know, that these kids are not like you. They have different culture, believes and circumstances. One of the goals of the war is to make them like you. i.e destroy their local culture and make them sing "i'm a slave for you" and this documentary shows to what degree this has been accomplished.
yeah i watched that movie, i feel so bad for them cause there just common kids no different from us living in the US, its crazy how we take our freedom for granted
heyy girl i really was touched on what you said. im from iraq to but i live in america and it breaks my heart when people talk about us. god bless you and its on demand on HBO <3
I watched this as well and I agree it was excellent. The documentary is especially well made because it gives an insightful view into the culture- rather than some docs which try to force a more dramatic presentation for the sake of the film.
to bobofofored: i don't have any clips from the film; sorry. check online (a good search engine) for clips because i'm sure you can find it somewhere. also use the word "HBO" in your search bar...have a great day!
We had the same thoughts about Irland when we were there it the war it is hard but hang in peace will come and it will get harder but have faith in the powres that be we can do nothing to stop the war ane every thing you see will make you think differnt .That is what tv about just hang on in and try to get as much information as you can to make up your own mind not just one tv show. The world is a big place and crap happens .Just be happy.
To SomeBullshitEscape: I know!!! Mohammed was my fave :) --the part with the little mouse was sad :(...but so cute at the same time! And thank you for your support. Share this with your friends please!!
To sarsoora122: Hey girl, you need to watch the whole thing it will absolutely bless your heart. It is absolutely amazing. I just wish everyone could see it and just see how they really feel.
I watched about an hour of it last night. My parents are both catholic Iraqis, so I was really interested. I agree with everything you said, I'd just like to that what the kids were saying and how they were saying things (words they choose) was much more meaningful then the sub-titles. The one thats a little chubby that shaved his head was hillarious!
I'm an Iraqi-American (Iraqi heritage, but born in the US). Unfortunately, I've only seen the last 5-10 mins of the documentary. To be honest, I avoided it because I thought it was going to be another biased documentary portraying all Iraqis as terrorists and evil-doers. I really hope to watch the entire thing. I'm glad that you've gained insight about the Iraqi people. The documentary goes to show that nationality has nothing to do with character.
to arabic100Percent: i understand how you feel. i would love to go to the middle east and just share my love with the people there. i just want peace for everyone. share this video with your friends; maybe we can change the world.
KatieRam: thanks for your sympathy, I have not watched it, but i will watch this baghdad High... We never hated USA, but we always hated your government for its lies.. starting from WMD...etc accusations...
Way to go Sis (Southern gal like me :P) I saw it last night and as you said it was very moving. there are so many misconceptions about the Iraqi people, and just like all things, there are terrorists in every religion and society, and we can't blame the whole society for a small group of bad people
i'm one of them my name is MOHAMMED

Your comments are true... The only problem we all have is with terrorists who want to kill and destroy. They-terrorists- ONLY KNOW DEATH...
