I would say its traced. When you look at how the head just stops right above the eyebrows. But still, beautiful work!

@Ldoefi acctually, alot of artists have trouble drawing the top of the subjects head because it fairly dificult to make the hair look dementional and realistic there.

Come on dude. Lets be classy people here. Even if she did trace it, she did a pretty good job on the picture overall. The shading was magnificent and the softness of her lines were amazing. You can't get that kind of skill by merely "tracing". Give her more credit. Put more sugar on that love :D

@TheOWAutumn Let me ask you this, how do you think people first begin to learn how to draw? As an artist myself, the best way to learn to draw is first by tracing. Through that, you will get used to the shape of human faces or whatever you're drawing. What is skillful about her is not that she is tracing, but that she is able to create the proper values, because it is impossible to trace values and shadings (it may serve as a guideline, but it takes skill to be able to replicate values).
