Mine is a '02 with just over 69,000 miles (dont drive it in the winter unless the roads are completely clear) It's so much fun to drive. I plan on putting a lot more miles on it lol

@jms35550 Not all S351's are supercharged. Non-Supercharged S351's push somewhere in the 375+ horsepower range, and the Vortech-blown S351 had 495 Flywheel horsepower, not rear wheel horsepower.

As far as a aftermarket supercharged car "overthrowing" the S351, the Saleen made 495hp fully 50 state smog legal and under warranty. From 1994-1999, the S351 was the most powerful American car you could buy, slaying the ZR-1 405hp and Viper 450hp, and was one of the most powerful cars on the planet.

I started saving for my '01 GT 6 months after I turned 16, and bought it with leather seats, Mach 460 sound system, 3.73 gears, 18x9 and 18x10 FR500s, BBK cold air intake, etc, for $6,200 with only 87K miles on it about 3 months after I turned 17, in November. Saved for roughly 9 months.

Now I'm into modding it. SCT LiveWire and BBK O/R X pipe so far.

@Speednlux be careful with the BBK headers (if you are going long tube) when they designed them, they didnt pay attention and forgot to put the slit on the driver side to allow for the oil dip tube. you actually have to cut out a section to get them on, otherwise ur gonna be pulling the motor for the install. I have a 2000 GT and had to return my headers. Hedman makes a nice set that fits perfect and sounds great.
