Just letting you guys know, Ivan decided to take a turn at the last minute. Pensacola got the east side of it, which is the worst side of a hurricane. It was last recorded to be a category 2, but that reading was taken long before Ivan made landfall. Ivan ended up breaking the machines, believe it or not. I think it was a 3 or 4. I was there. I lived in the Warrington area, right by the base, and the waterline properties were trashed!
i stayed awake... for ivan.. i was at my house... i went outside a couple times.. i seen my friends house blow away... it was the sadest thing iv ever seen luckily they came over to my house and they were safe... it was a 4 when it hit land... its not gona be super dangerous in all areas... you cant say just because you didnt get hit it wasnt a bad hurricane...
yes it did i had some family that stayed out at grand lagoon during Ivan luckie they were on a hill when that huge wave Ivan made came in most of the people that got killed were from grand lagoon and west Florida hospital and i live in pensacola and i stayed here through ivan also
look i rode out ivan and ople both and ivan it was juist to storng to be a 3 juist look at the damge compared to them both ople destroyed pensacola beach but it did not do as much damge as ivan look like a war zone

he guys there has been a roomer going around town that right after the storm was over they pulled 200 bodies out of the water emeditly dose ant body know if this was a government cover up or if its just a roomer flowing around town

What I find crazy is how lately pine trees can't stand up to hurricane winds at all. Half of them are snapping off near the middle. Anyway, I was glad I was there to experience it, as terrifying as it was.

The wind speed measurement at NAS Pensacola broke at 180 mph. Our house only took minor damage. I had taken all of my pine trees down 6 months prior to Ivan. Good thing I listened when God gave me the opportunity to get them down! 7 AM came and though glad to be alive, I wanted to cry.

yeah that storm sucked i live on the front lines or the first row of houses next to the gulf. We were one of the lucky ones our blow out room worked but as for some of your neibors who did not have blow out rooms theirs houses were buried or gutted. Build a blow out room it will save your house!!!
