Impero Argentina belongs to that kind of artists that are so talented that could do many things very well. Her voice but also her presence and grace were love for millions and this recording is a good proof of it. As always this is enhanced with your beautiful collections of images Grzegorz. Many thanks!
I love Imperio Argentina.....in my opinion this the grandest of Tango. I would just sit in a Spanish Cafe and drink my Wine and Savor every minute of this Fabulous singer. THIS IS WHAT I CALL TANGO AT ITS BEST! Gracias Senior Grzegorz.
Genia, Imperio was really outstanding. Do you imagine how good and long life she had? She - a friend of Garcia Lorca, of Carlos Gardel and Maurice Chevalier - died just a few years ago...
Hello Grzegorz - Her voice is low, mezzosoprano - bordering on alto - totally intoxicating! Godomska is right about Dolores Del Rio at the end - nevertheless this Tango is gorgeous albeit slightly slow for dancing. Thanks!!!
Yes, I noticed that mistake. Thanks... They both - Imperio and Dolores - were equally pretty, they had the same kind of the shining but also slightly misty eyes... and that little touch of an irony mixed with a mistery, dancing on their lips... They looked qiuite like two sisters
Very good work as always specially for those vintage Spanish posters...no idea where did you found them...specially if in the net the majority are from 50 or 60´s and you show some from 1914 to 30´s... well, there is a site with all those posters called Instituto de Estudios Turísticos.
About that flamenco vision...it´s ok, specially if Imperio lived in Spain...
Anyway...if you have any question about spelling or Spanish grammar...ask me, that´s my mother tongue and it will be a pleasure to contribute to your amazing channel.
Yes, Gadomska! You are right. When I was uploading this photo I had a strange sensation: what a strange Imperio's photo it is! But I had such erroneous subtitle which misled me. OK< I will just leave the clip it like it is - wiitn a little correcting note added in the info :-( Sorry - and thank's for your attentive watching!
It's always a delight to hear lyrics in a different language than one might expect, as in this lively espanol-polski collage. That senorita at !:28 sure looks mean or should I say "maligna"?
Absolutely beautiful! Thank you. Maya

Thank you, Grzegorz. But at the time 2:57 / 3:03 there is Dolores Del Rio, not Imperio Argentina.

Se arrastran los compases compadrones
del tango que se encoge, que se estira. Su música doliente pareciera,
sentir que una amenaza se aproxima. Viviremos los dos el cuarto de hora
de la danza nostálgica y maligna.
Yes, for sure la señorita was very "maligna"...
