@osamiax33o Yeah i did it the normal way. It must just be the AP here at work as when trying my home router it reports poisoning as working. I take it some AP's just cannot be done?

@benhoppy Most likely, considering it is a company or business etc... they have taken the security measures to prevent man in the middle attacks. Bypassing additional security measures like ARPwatch, ARPon, etc... is actually pretty difficult. Google around and you may find some further explanation.

Yes, there is a program called "Wine" that is available in the add/remove programs. It allows u to run windows programs inside linux.

Just as you guys know WPA and WPA-2 cannot be hacked. Only if you have the IRN Password and to find this you have to get physical accsess to the router.

WPA is dependant on the strength of the password used..

If password can be found in a dictionary, it can easily be hacked.

If slightly more complex, then not so easy, but still not impossible.

Just takes time.

There is no need to have physical access to the router for this.

you can sniff passwords without being connected with a cord right? you can just be within their wireless internet and access it then do the same thing with ettercap using arp poisoning correct? someone said you had to use LAN connectioin which im not sure if it can be wireless. please respond

Yes, all functions of Ettercap, including sniffing passwords work over wireless. You don't have to be plugged in to a LAN to sniff passwords.
