@Aranthaiscool I think I was pretty logical, I said IF god want's us to know about him, then he would know how to convince those who understand the nature of evidence, and know textual testimony isn't good enough.
Basically I CAN prove that god either isn't all powerful or doesn't want me to know he's real, the evidence being that I don't.
Atheism is not a belief, anymore than not collecting stamps is a hobby. I'm unconvinced by the claims, but I don't necessarily actively believe no god exists

Jesus- doesn't judge and condemn, and neither do I. Only God can pronounce an apt judgement on a person and condemn them, on Judgement Day, of course. That's a job for a Perfect, Just, and Merciful God. (Notice the word "Merciful"; God is all of this, and more.) Jesus' "job" is simply to show people the Way (called eternal salvation) to God. Jesus saves and God Judges. People can't judge, no one is able to do that but God. I don't judge either, and no one else should. Peace.

God sent his son into the world not to condemn it, but to save it...that is, show the way to salvation, and thus, God. It's the verse in the Bible, after the most famous verse, that everyone hears constantly, and is quoted everywhere. It's John 3:17. ALL Christians know this and it's an integral part of the Good News (and core) of Christianity. Peace.

@namikazenigel To clarify for the atheistic side of things, current theory based on WMAP observations suggest that our "universe" split off from a larger one in a vast multiverse of universes, so it wasn't really created from nothing. The upcoming LISA experiment should settle that issue conclusively. To my mind this places an additional burden of proof on the already overburdened theistic side of the argument. Did God create this universe, or the first one? (If there even was a first).

The other is backed by the cumulative research of hundreds of years. I personally don't really care what people believe in. I've only ever met one that thought they should be allowed into heaven and she was American (sorry sorry sorry Americans - I'm not anti-American) and me and my Canadian Christian friend didn't quite know what to say.
