Some of these live in the woods around my Georgia subdivision-I've been practicing their call on my whistle. I don't want to hunt them, I just want to see them up close in real life and maybe take a picture. Thanks for posting this video-now I know what a real woodie sounds like.

These guys can be domesticated. Just like mallards, if you fatten them up they will just stay at a farm

Dude, great frickin vid! I've harvested several Drake Wood Ducks and love their calling. They're all in the swamps I hunt and I just love to hear them playing and calling. The most beautiful waterfowl IMHO!

Cute. They are so beautiful. Wood ducks are pretty rare in my neck of the woods. One day I spotted a couple at a local wetland wildlife preserve. I was so excited! I never knew they made that sound.
