  • my cat does the exact same thing

  • My cat used to do the same thing when she saw a fly or bird.. anyone knows the meaning of it? Cat expert by any chance?? :p

  • Looks to me..Like a form of Frustration ..

Since he/she can not get to the birdies ..

in our eyes it is funny at first.

but is it instead sad ?

  • @MrBOB39 NOpe... still funny

  • Awwwwwwww.... love it!! <3

  • vocal kitty mimicing birds hopeing one will come xlose enough to kill jusy be careful thr vocal cats dont usaly eat prey they kill they gibe it to whon they consifet family thinking they will eat ot so dont let this kitty ever catch a bird. awsome video

  • My cat does this allll the time, it's hilarious listening to it

  • lol my cat does dis

  • The reason cats do this is because typically they would be lying in wait and they want to lure birds to their location so they can pounce. Sad that such a "cute" action is one intended for killing prey but after all everything is intended to ruin something else's day by eating it.

  • @OkamsRazer that's actually not true. They do this when they know they can't get to the prey. It's a coping mechanism, a way of releasing stress if you will...

  • @Toolshed76 oh. I was always told by my grandmother it was because it was a luring mechanism...*shrug*

  • LOL. Did it work? Were any of the birds dumb enough to fall for this?

  • Lol, my cat does the same! Why do they do that? Are they desperate to catch the bird?

  • My cat make this to when he is seeing birds

  • Aw how pretty

  • @Roseanna200 i want to boil this cat alive ^^

  • @GDI109 And I want to melt your face off. ^-^ Gtfo

  • @GDI109 wow how about we boil you alive instead you piece of shit

  • @felismaula stfu slut, no man gave you permission to speak.

  • @GDI109 and you need to return to your bridge, troll.

  • I've seen other kitties doing it, it so cute, but they are no kidding, their intention is to kill it, if they can. They are just acting by instinct, natural cat's behavior. Love cats and all the animals, it so interesting to observe them.

  • How beautiful

  • Well you don't need to clean that swatch of flooring for another month. Kitty's tails, for balance, for hunting, and apparently for dust busting as well.

  • ''Romeo, oh Romeo..''

  • never heard my cat do this at birds, but if were having bees or flies or something inside, he runs around chattering like a madman

  • Aww, cute chattering kitty!

  • My cat does exactly the same thing to birds...and spookily, when I was watching this I turned to see my cats reaction and he started looking up as if he was looking for the birds your cat was telling him about LOL

  • That looks just like my cat :)

  • Ah cute kitty. This behavior is instinctive in cats. It's related to their biting the necks of prey.

  • cute ass lil kitty

  • the cat thinks he's a bird ._.

  • My brother's cat does this all the time when birds land on or around the front porch. He could amuse my dad all day doing this. XD

  • My cat makes that same cry, but rather if she sees a cat light chaser and seldom for bugs.

Does this cat constantly meow whenever you pet her?

  • stuttering stanley! stuttering stanley!

  • Lol XD

  • Comment removed

  • it sounds like a machinepistol xD ratatata but then very high

  • if a cat wags its tail like that its not happy

  • @tryandlisten well, yes, they do that when they aren't happy, but in this situation it's because she wants to hunt the birds.

  • Its trying to lure a bird on the other side of the window by horribly imitating a bird! So cute!!! :3

  • My cat does this when it looks at birds too. Why do they do it? Anyone have a real explanation?

  • @zacthebold Actually, Cats do that when they see a pray. That's the easiest way to explain -.-

  • @paperclip1201 Well no shit Sherlock. I asked for a REAL explanation. Not just an observation.

  • @zacthebold That's a real explanation. Just trying to help. I doubt anyone would even bother to help after they realize you don't appreciate what they are trying to do for you.

  • "please help me ... my owner dresses me up like a princess and touches me" (that is what the bird can hear)

ma ma wa me ma ma ma ( us :l )

  • my cat does the EXACT same thing . down to thte tail waggin.

  • this chattering means she was hunting the birds and she was getting frustrated cause she cant get them =]

  • sounds like anne from little britain, eh eh ehhhhhhh

  • My cat does this too!

  • My cat does this too. It's because they wan't to go out and play with the birds and sometimes it can mean they are getting ready to kill :P

  • what kind of a meow is that!?

  • its trying to to do a bird call...lol

  • This is a cat learning a foreign language!

  • Man, cats do some weird things sometimes.

  • that cats in the window like

"YOU AIN GETTIN WITH THOSE SHOES"

  • Its just instinct, the catt wants to hunt the birds, not sing to them. Thats why hes wagging his tail around.

  • My cat sometimes do this to me

  • my older cat does the same, silly kitty :D

  • your cat is a telegram machine!

  • My cat does that, too!

  • Wtf? Omg lol

  • Kitty wants to attack and kill......that is what they are best at.......pure predators.

  • My cat did the same, but only, when there was a butterfly.

  • My cat does this too!

  • wtf is tht sounds like its ready to kill the birds lol or feeling horny lol

  • my cat does that

  • Feed the Birds... To me!

  • "Heeeere, little birdies ... I'm just a bigger birdie ... really ... come visit me ..."

    >:-)

  • she is comunicating with the aliens xD

  • he wants to get out and kill a bird lol

  • Hair ball :p

  • Your English is very good.

  • What a great video!!! This kitty reminds me so much of my Tigger who used to chatter at the birds all the time.

  • that is adorable. my cat does his meow gurgle chirp thing with a deeper tone, more human like. kind of weird ._. but cute all the same XD

  • lol. cats are trying to do bird calls to lure them in so they can attack. lol.

  • @funnyfacce mine too.

  • stupid cat

  • My cat does this all the time...to lizards and squirrels and bunnies as well as birds... Cats never cease to amaze me.

  • my cats like this video

  • soooooooooooo cuteeeeeee !!!!!!

  • hahaha my cat does that chirping noise when shes looking at the window all the time!

  • That chirping really creeps me out

  • She's amazing.

  • My cat does this all the time! It always scares my mom ;) haha. She thinks he is gonna attack her!!!

  • @11mngirl lolz its just chatter. it means the kitty is frustrated tht it cant get to the prey lolz

  • ~ HA ~

I love when they do this.

Natural instincts kick in and now in 'kill mode'

My cat does this for birds and chipmunks.

  • That is a 'bleating' like noise.

    My feral cat does this.

Nothing cose to singing, and singing and random meowing can mean bad bad things.

She is hunting and frustrated because she cannot get to them, you shoud not go that close when she is in that mode, no matter how nice the cat, she could do harm when that frustrated.

  • she is imitating the birds lol

  • She'd get a duck before she gets one of those chirpers.

  • my maine coon does this when i sneeze, put dishes away, or make any other loud noise when he is trying to sleep.

  • @elizabethsugg

    He could be in pain.

Meowing like that often means loss of orientation, confusion, pain, amongst other things.

  • @JasmineXToxic Hi my cats also do this when they are inside and can see birds outside. I think it is a frustration behaviour cause they can't get out to chase the birds. My two boys are very healthy.

  • @julesmiles

yes you're right^^ it is indeed a sign of frustration (or a threat...) that is shown when cats see a prey they cannot reach. Probably it is also a sort of practicing because they're imitating the killing bite (sorry for my english uû") depending on the individual character, some cats show this behaviour even when they've experienced 'injustice', like being scolded XD"

  • @elizabethsugg LOL! Moooom, stop bothering me!!

  • Next time you've got your video camera on your kitty...let us see what it's looking at. Shot from behind the cat through the window to the outdoor. Complete the visual viewpoint.

  • Morse Code to the Soviets!

  • ur cat is a rapper.

  • Everytime I leave my avian on the porch to get some fresh air the local cat would just sit far from there and do the same thing while staring at it.

  • :20 " 'Sup bro?"

  • My cat makes that noise whenever there is something that she wants that is out of her reach

  • My cat does the same thing!! It is hilarious to see! :D

  • 2mo nomore birds...WATCH

  • My cat looks just like her and she makes the weirdest noises too, like that except it sounds a lot like a squirrel

  • Ha ha my cats do that too

  • My cat was doing this one day...sitting on the sidewalk, making this noise at a seagull that was about 80 feet up on a power pole on the other side of the street. She was nothing, if not overly ambitious!

  • My bengal mad lots of bird calls and such. Sadly for me, he wouldn't shut up when I needed sleep.

  • Cats are so cool!

  • I looked this up. When a cat hunts for birds and catches one, they hold the birds neck in their mouths and chomp down, making a chirping noise.

My ginger tom, Garfield, does this almost every day!!! Cute :-)

  • Sure beats Gaga, go kitty go!

  • hehehe

  • sounds more like a dolphin or a seal to be honest

  • real cute face

  • that is not singing...hunting noises...

  • poop

  • get that camera out of my face!

  • Absolutely awesome!

  • Wow my cats do that too, to birds and flys, but I've never seen any cat doing it for so long time O.o

  • that cat talks alot, klaatu would love this vid :)

  • my siamese did this with a lot of things...insects too...i felt like he was annoyed that he couldn't reach them...and was making some noise to express this.

  • Cat: kill kill kill x9001

  • I agree with @4urenterntainmen7

  • Maybe the cat is calling the birds so that she can get them!!!

  • Omg my cat does the exact same thing! Awesome

  • my kitties do that too! i always say "You talkin' to the birdies, girl?"

i wonder how all cats seem to know instinctively how to speak bird.

  • Wow that cat looks like my cat named Kyra :O So cute

  • god this is just like my sisters cat she dose that when sees them cos she want to run after them but she plays not kills.

  • that's chartering not sining

  • like a drunk guy talking to a chick in the bar.. hey.. heyy..heyyyyy.... I'm just saayyiinn........

  • He was actually imitating the birds to get their attention so they could like him and get close so he could finally get a snack !!! lol

  • Every cat I know makes this sound when they see birds. It's so strangely specific a noise.

  • My cat/kitten does that! Is your cat/kitten a bengal??

  • kakaka...gonna get you birdy

  • "food....food!..food!"

  • Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww! That cat's gonna look so cute when he gets the bird in his mouth!

  • my cat does that too

  • Is this what he does on all CATURDAYS???

  • LOL I have to say something Stupid : This Pussy got Dark lips

  • And I thought that My Cat Boots was the only one that did this....Glad to see he's not possessed......Lol....................smiles :)

  • OMG LOOK AT ITS TAIL!

  • that kitten aint singing , he's sharpening his teeth

  • my cat does that too when he is chaching flys or when he is pissed.. in other words he is not singing he says words like #%@?* or ##%@&

  • gato doooooido!

  • That cat is a natural hunter.

  • lovely

  • Adorable

  • it feels like morse code

  • i put a bird feeder in front of my window for this very reason. To those who haven't done so do it at your own risk. Great entertainment for the cats until they run head on into the window thinking they're gonna get them some lunch. Then its a great laugh for me!

  • My cat Bill does this sometimes when we have turkeys or crows on our lawns. It's really funny to watch him do this

  • TOOOO CUUUUTE!!!!

  • Cats have such a wide vocal range.

  • "ha ha ha ha Stayin Alive!!"

  • it tells

  • it tell other cats that the prey is hers... absolutely normal

  • Cat Morse Code?

  • My cat does this too. I thought she was weird because I've owned other cats and they didn't do this but she does. Why do they make that noise?

  • My cat, Latte (who sadly passed away in October 2007) used to chortle like this. She was my first cat and I had no clue what that noise was and was actually scared that something was wrong with her, but my mom told me that its completely natural. I love when cats do this. It makes me laugh! XD

  • NICE :3 it's a cat with a bird voice XD

  • wait i thougght tht cat was the bird...WHAT HAS THE WORLD TURNED TO!!!!!!!!!?

  • Haha I wonder why they do that? mine does the same thing

  • She is pretty good at that.

  • WOW!! I didn't know cats do that to sucker birds.

  • My cat makes the same sound when it sees a bird outside the window :-)

  • and i thought our cat was just strange, lol..now i understand! lol

  • My cat too !

  • Clever strategy!! Needs some work, but clever

  • maby shes barking

  • he wants to eat it!!!!!

  • Our kitty Me Me does this a lot as well.

She goes mental if there's a bird laughing at her outside the window and acts all hardcore but, really, she's terrible at catching them.

She'll probably try it on with a crow at some point and come back with her ass kicked.

She also does it if I shine a laser pointer or torch up on the ceiling, point at it and say "up!" all excited.

  • Give me the bird!

We'd love to really, but the Fox censors won't allow it.

  • let it go out i think could have lots of fun with birds

  • LMFAO

  • I think shes trying to imitate the birds. Like shes trying to lure them. One smartass cat.

  • @EmperorKrow That's what I thought too, but it's not a trait of this one cat; rather, many cats do this when they see birds but can't get to them.

  • @EmperorKrow

helsya man that cat is smart as hell

  • @EmperorKrow There are countless videos on youtube of cats making that exact noise at birds or bugs on the wall. Search "cat chirping".
