dude wtf, no one died ... if you watch the credits halfway you'll see Big Boss stopped Snake from committing suicide, so Snake did not die. And about Raiden, he even met his son and his girlfriend ... Did you really finish the game ???
If you read egm. hireo-kojima confirmed more mgs games, but you dont play as solid snake. (or as I like to call him solidus snake). The next one you play as a plain human taught everything what solid snake learned I guess. but there is definitely going to be more mgs games. but STILL no snake :'(
Hey man u can get all three of them in a boxset with special artwork from Amazon. The essential collection, MGS, MGS2:Substance, and MGS3: Subsistence. Only fifteen bucks. You come up short on the Subsistence disc since no disc 2 but its still WELL worth the money.

the fight against Laughing Octupus was weird, the one against Raven was kind of lame, and the one against Crying Wolf was totally up to my sniping Skills....never killed the Beautys tho, only stunned them with Stun nades to get their faces^^
yeah, i know now...but the Frogs and Merly where kind of annoying and in the Way...but once you know the trick (i didnt at first, my friend only gave me the tip:" it works with Nanomachines", took me a while to figure it out^^) its quite simple...
But yeah, the funny mind controll and confusing shit is back and it was awesome.
man, i though the battle with mantis was easy too but when i played through it on extreme difficulty, that part pissed me off! cuz i was dumb enough to use the syring that replenishes your stamina, but is you keep using it snakes throws up as soon the effect is over and his health goes down really low, so don't use the syring that much! and the stupid frogs would kill me in like 2 shots even if i had full health
that wud piss me off cos i had crap camera on snake eater n no extra's then bam brought out a sub..sistance or stance then i dint wanna waste more money just for the camera angle
forget about design...the fight with these bosses are amazing......I just play MGS4....The best boss i encounter was crying wolf..becuase the adrenaline can get us so high..thats only my opinion....But at the end of MGS 4....Is the mother of all fights...its last like 30 minutes....Fist fight with ocelot...
