  • The news reader is almost crying:D:D:D

  • I will never understand the American Liberls love affair with high speed trains. Combat global warming?! Seriously?! the trains are Electric. Where does the electricity come from? 61% of all our electricity in this country comes from COAL !

Essentially these are COAL powered trains.

Liberals are mostly against hydroelectric dams.

    against nuclear electricity

    against coal electricity

when we all ride on high speed rail and have plug in cars, where do we get the electricity from ?!

  • @MetalDetroit then what are we going to use for electricity if they don't want any power plant, and what are we going to use for fuel if they don't want to drill for oil? Good luck getting around with hang gliders, sailboat, horses and wagons, and hand cart with out oil, we'll won't be able to drive our car, take a train, take a Bus, or fly, with out electricity we won't be able to opperate our electric scotters, electric cars, Monorails, or high speed tains.

  • @MetalDetroit from your dirty, sweaty, smelly ass

  • @MetalDetroit

what if you replace those coal with nuclear? which is exactly what China is doing.

guess you cant replace gas with nuclear yet in cars or planes

  • 10 years ago we could have sold the Space shuttle program to China and let china fly the space shuttle and build High speed rail in America.

  • I will refuse to buy a car. I will take mass transit when possible. I will refuse to subscribe to the OIL companies motto for the "American" way of life until we get something like this. If they want to continue to make us drive gas guzzlers, so as to kill HSR, I won't be part of it. And from now on I'll only vote for candidates that do not get mentioned with ties to OIL companies and/or support HSR.

  • 4 Indians don't like this video!? ^^

  • Loved when the Governor of louisiana opposed the President's idea for create high speed rail in this country. Because the technolgy hadn't been created yet!

  • @jrwel14

Didn't expect that close-minded thinking from the son of immigrants. Well fuck him and his ignorant comment. The tech has only been around since 1964.

  • well it's either guns or stuff that actually matters :)

  • I just got back from a whirlwind tour of Europe. Even their regular-speed inter-city rail system (all electric) is better - faster, smoother, more convenient and well-run, and more extensive - than the U.S. At first I thought I was on high-speed rail. Then I got on the -real- high-speed rail (Thalys, TGV, Eurostar) and WOW! Especially the TGV. It's time the USA caught up to the 20th century.

  • that's bevause USA spent its money in army,soldiers,guns,warplanes...

  • Does anyone need any more proof that Americans have been sold into slavery for the oil industry?

Tampa to Orlando was killed by Rick Scott, the Republican Governor of Florida whose campaign contributions came, in large part, from the oil industry and who the people there now despise.

  • WAIT!!!!....the U.S is also investing.......investing on war of course.

  • Unlike many countries in the world, US does not have these energy efficient transportations because the rich people who owns oil companies and runs the airline business will not be happy. Those people also runs the US government. Coincidence? Instead, people can drive their gas-guzzlers on the highway for 5 hours, emptying their pocket to pay for gas and the troops in middle east so that in the future they can pay even more money on gas! How exciting!

  • OMG. Boston to New York in just 1 hr? Doesn't it take like 4 hrs on bus to do the same trip. WTF. That is sooo quick. :(

  • well then why dont you do it I mean USA is a superpower.

  • The united states will rely on the tried and true method of the petroleum needing internal combustion engine and thus continue to transfer the wealth of the united states to the arabs and mexicans and venezualans and nigerians and iranians and russians and....

  • @lukebccb ...BRAZILIANS!

  • @darwincity CHINESE!

  • Well, we can't do that because we're in debt to China and other countries around the world. DERP. Also we have something not every country has... A freaking road to no where. lol

  • China has HS lines. So does Spain, France, Italy, the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Sweden and even Switzerland and Austria. Even RUSSIA has a high-speed link from Moscow to St Petersburg. And the US? Nothing...

  • looks like china is preparing for the post-oil age, isn't it?

  • what a bitch.

  • @virtuous8 Why do you call her a bitch? for praise China?

  • 好酸,酸死我了~~呵呵

  • It would only take 15 hrs to get from San Francisco, CA - New York, NY!!!

  • Should remind again which country's workers actually built the hardest parts of the Great Pacific and the Great Western in the US one and a half century ago

  • fuck usa american's r big ass hole

  • @AntiChinksFederation U albino Bonobo shit eating strip joint swinging chimp? Piss off on long term physically impair welfare? Don't have the cash to party or snort coke? Can't laid any slut? Dick ED....pathetic!? Well..Pimp ur grandma, mummy, aunties, sisters , brothers, daughters to ANY thing that walks, for a couple of dimes... Elevates ur self esteem, retard! Blow yourself away by doing the self BJ thing tranny! U r a waste of precious HUMAN food....swine-dog!

  • I am sure US can do the same to build high-speed railway system if Repulican allows to do so. Don't say that 'I wish we (US) do that instead of China'. Why can both China and US do that? It is not you do it and prevent others to do the same and likewise. Somehow Americans have the mentality that only US can do something to impress others and Americans are not happy if others did it first.

  • Shit and Bioware (Mass Effect), and Guerrilla(Killzone) games, etc, are not even American game companies.

  • What the fuck is wrong with this country. We lead the world with visionary scifi stories, writers, movies, and we fucking make the best sci-fi drama, films, games, etc but I think there is where our vision ends. While other countries are going into the future for real we can only experience it in the books of Asimov, games of Bioware, etc.

  • you can get alot done with slave labor.

  • High speed railway does not work in the United States because it is against the interests of the big oil corporations like BP, which have powerful lobbyists supporting them.

  • I have an Idea lets put all the angry people venting about how great the USA is and how High Speed Rail doesn't work, to work on this High Speed Rail.. now that's energy well spent!

  • @williejenkins666 Just one HSR train can carry over 800 people, at full speed and comfort. What do you call 800 cars on a freeway? A traffic jam. And all 800 drivers will hate being stuck in it.

If you take away highway funds, the highways will crumble...because of OVERUSE! The solution is to get cars off the road. Doing that will solve both the excessive wear issue, and lighten up traffic jams all at once.

BTW, I'd also add "Defense" to your list of what costs taxpayers big money too.

  • @williejenkins666 LOL

"HSR is a joke to implement in the USA. "

    ...still waiting to hear why.

BTW, what's the difference between an Amtrak-like money pit, and an Interstate Highway System-like money pit? Answer? About $46 Billion dollars a year, according to the DOT. Just a few years of highway subsidies could pay for all of the HSR America needs. Maybe you should stop scapegoating Amtrak, and look at what's REALLY costing the taxpayers money.

  • @williejenkins666 "I'd love to know how many miles China can build a track vs. the USA per mile of cost."

That's easy. China spent $150 billion (US equiv.) on HSR, and they will have over 10,000 km, so that's roughly $15 million/km. The US has invested $8 billion, and we have...well, we have zero km, which renders that calculation useless.

The fact is that we will never know China's cost per km compared to the US...UNTIL WE START BUILDING HSR OURSELVES!

But you knew that, already didn't you?

  • @williejenkins666 It's not my mindless drivel.

It's the Department of Labor's, the Department of Transportation's, and the Department of Energy's mindless drivel.

    It's Siemens', Talgo's, Alstom's, and Bombardier's, mindless drivel.

    It's EuroStar's, Japan Railway's, Deutsche Bahn's, and THSRC's mindless drivel.

So, when you're done convincing those government agencies, international train manufacturers, and HSR system operators that their assumptions are based on mindless drivel, get back to me.

  • @williejenkins666 ROTFL

After reading past your defensive insults, I found the answers to your three questions. #1 can be found on the Bureau of Labor Statistics page on the Department of Labor website. Go look. #2 varies with the project, and would be in the project's Environmental Impact Report. #3 varies with each project too. There are too many fools that want to delay, or deny a good idea being implemented. And lawyers are all happy to take their money.

Looks like you needed that extra 0.1%

  • @williejenkins666 Then you understand nothing.

At first I thought you were just a comment troll. It turns out that you really are an irrational loon looking for an edge to be pushed over.

I apologize for judging your reason so highly.

  • @williejenkins666 The major cities in the US are laid out 300-500 miles apart, which is PERFECT for HSR. Airlines don't want those routes because they lose money on them. Driving would be slower than HSR, and you could rent a car at your destination for less than your gas money.

HSR works in Japan, and China, and everywhere else I mentioned. The only problem is that deniers like you believe that it works everywhere, except in the USA.

    Hmmm, "...except the USA"

Where have I heard that before?

  • @williejenkins666

BTW, after reading your posts, I more fully understand the concept of hyperbole. After reading my responses, I hope you more fully understand sarcasm.

  • @williejenkins666 When goods can flow across a more energy- and time-efficient service, and when employees can get to their jobs more easily, and also get to them from further away, I was under the misguided impression that those circumstances would aid in an economic recovery. But I haven't taken an economics class, have I? Anyway, I was referring to future events, but I must have lied about them too. Thank you for calling me out.

  • @williejenkins666 And when I mentioned emerging economies, I wanted to fool people into thinking that only Russia, Brazil, South Africa, and Argentina were the only emerging economies planning for HSR.

And the phrase "All major countries" is vague enough to be considered a lie. I engineered that vagueness to trick everyone watching this video. And the $6 billion the US will invest is still a heavy investment...maybe even compared with the $150 billion that China has already invested.

  • @williejenkins666 You're right, I lied.

When I mentioned fully industrialized countries, I thought everyone would think only of Japan, Taiwan, China, South Korea, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Belgium, and the UK. Oh yeah, and Switzerland too. But I was counting on everyone forgetting about Canada and Australia, so I lied about it.

  • What is wrong with this country. We dont have affordable healthcare, we're being left behind in education, our infrastructure is going to hell... Where are the innovators and risk takers?

  • @AAmed1980

The innovators are now going to China for jobs and the risk takers are now in Iraq.

  • @stephentsang2000 Lol.. Sad yet true.

  • @williejenkins666 That's all you have??? "Lie...lie...lie...lie?"

No news? No personal observations? Not even a rumor to back yourself up?

Come on! Tell me! Why am I lying? What makes you think I'm lying? Where is your proof that I am lying? Give me more information about why you think the way you think.

Or...do you even think at all? Do you just have a PC, a Youtube account, and more time than common sense? Do you just enjoy trolling/spamming/defacing threads with your wanton ignorance?

  • WHO TF CARES!!! TALK ABOUT SOMETHING THAT MATTERS... WHO CARES!

  • @AntiChinksFederation Maybe they should report you to the FBI several times

  • @AntiChinksFederation I won't be surprised you're one of those Teabaggers in your country who also reportedly insult black democrat members.

  • If americans don't spend much of their money on weapon enterprises and preventing other country's development...They spend it all on their ppl, they would surely be the no.1 country of everything in this planet I guess?

  • USA = banana monkey republic, CHINA = hi tech super country

  • don't we have jets for this?

  • @clat1 why would you use an inferior method of transportation ?! of course they have planes, but they arent nearly as efficient.

  • @armatus99

nobody uses trains here in the united states- why build something nobody will use?

  • @clat1 nobody here uses teleporters either, but if they would build them we would use them...you have to agree that your logic is kinda bs. once the trains are there and people see for themselfs how they make travel easier, they will use them. especially in high density areas the us would benefit, since you didnt give a crap abbout public transportation that much until recently. you can only build roads to a certian width...

  • @clat1

2005: "The Tablet computer market has failed, so why should Apple start building them?"

1970: "There is no market for personal computers."

1900: "If Man were meant to fly, he'd have wings."

  • Why the Taiwan is not in the map of China?

  • @wyfjyf maybe because its not part of the peoples rebulic of china?! and if you are one of those guys who thinks its part of communist china, get real. those people would rather die then living under some ruler who forbids them free information. and if you arent, just ignore the last sentence ;) good day anyways.

  • @AntiChinksFederation please, do remember to take antipsychotic drugs! you mom was a whore who didn;t give you proper family eduction, and your country's public education system also failed u. that is why you are retard+manic... sigh. what nigger-redneck coffee color mixture.LOL

  • @AntiChinksFederation Well, it's good that you have your pride. Sadly however, right now your pride has made you look foolish.

  • Every fully industrialized country in the world already has High Speed Rail...except the USA.

Every country with an emerging economy is investing in High Speed Rail...except the USA.

To combat the global recession, all major countries are investing heavily in High Speed Rail...except the USA.

When the recession is over, all of the above countries will be in a better position to benefit from the prosperity...

    ...yep...

    ...except the USA.

  • @lenojames

Americans don't need bullet trains because Americans are slow and inefficient. When I went to Los Angeles 3 years ago, I was shocked by the slowness of speed that the people working in the airport. Such incredibly slow speed is simply unseen in East Asia, not even China. It's the working attitude of the Americans that is the core of the problem, not bullet train.

  • @stephentsang2000

    ???

So, you are saying that Americans can improve the transportation infrastructure, connect metropolitan areas more efficiently, travel in greater safety and comfort, and lower carbon emissions by 60%...

...by having a better working attitude at the airport???

  • @lenojames I mean combating global recession. Bullet train is simply a hardware, but it doesn't solve the recession problem without people having the right software in their minds. Working attitude is the fundamental.

  • @lenojames Yeah, because we have cars and an interstate highway system....or didn't you get the memo?

  • @lenojames actually we do have HSR. Just not enough. Learn your facts.

  • This naiton is sooooooooooo f*cked thanks to the right wing freaks!

  • @AntiChinksFederation what r u talking about? that has nothing to do with the discussion; u r jz grasping for shit to slam china with and yes US has lots of bike trails for ppl too; ever hear of the Appalachian Trail?? i bet u haven't

anyway stick to the topic, dont go off on tangents

  • @maxuezhi8 Just leave this AntiChink loser alone... He is just an envious hater who cannot find a girlfriend, because of his ugly face. So, to satisfy his libido he goes to internet to shout like a loser, that's only way he can feel himself somehow useful

  • Comment removed

  • @AntiChinksFederation we are talking about trains running on electricity here, not cities so there is no comparison; do u live in the US? i dont believe u do b/c if u did u would know that US highways in a lot of places especially around the large cities are in really bad shape; and for ur information China's major cities have a lot more people in them than US cities so of course there is going to be more pollution, besides New York and Los Angeles isnt so clean either

  • @AntiChinksFederation US highways need alot of repair plus way too many cars on them anyway; as for planes, airport security is a hassle, u get fondled by the TSA and planes are not as environmentally friendly as HSR anyway

  • i wish uk have highh speed train too!

  • @TheDreamer138 UK has high speed trains lol; only US doesn't

  • @TheDreamer138 Err, InterCity 125 is quite fast as well.

  • aren't we promoting green lift with bicycles now?

  • @AntiChinksFederation: "still need cars for inner city like.... shopping.....travel around town".

The above MAY be true for Los Angeles or Phoenix but obviously you've never been to New York City, Chicago, Boston, San Francisco, Seattle, etc.

  • @AntiChinksFederation no, i'll bitch slap you back to Africa.

  • @mrzack888 Ah, I am guessing you must be Indian since you hate Africans and "Chinks" LOL. Wow, someone's a retard.

  • @disbsam333 you're an idiot. learn to read who posted what.

  • @FyzikalKemizt

you right. US government and politicians support car companies and Airplane companies who give bribe money to them.

  • @AntiChinksFederation

Ha ha your idea is out of date. Train save Gasoline in these days .

  • @AntiChinksFederation

Chinese and China are not parasites because China and chinese in China and oversea are rich now. Oversea Chinese borrow money to other races and China borrow money to poor country (Africa ) and rich country (USA ) now . China is Giver not Taker. So Your talking are nonsense. You are parasite and stupid , idiot , garbage , trash , mother fucker.

  • China is communist is only name now . China is Capitalist country since 1979 because China open American Capitalist to invest in China. China will be Democracy country in 2025 because of Chinese middle class and china opposition democracy leaders. America spend too much money on Sports because they pay million money to Black American players . American Sport boss should cut salary to these black players.

  • @AntiChinksFederation Do you know Chink Word? Chink mean small eye people . West call all East Asian people include Japanese, Koreans and Chinese but not only Chinese. You can look at this Chink word in Wikipedia in Google search. Your general knowledge is also weak. Shame on you . You also will fall in life because of your jealous mind.

  • @AntiChinksFederation

You are jealous to Chinese but World welcome Chinese because World people can eat World # 1 delicious food - Chinese food because of oversea Chinese. World recognize Chinese food is #1 and French food is # 2. Do you know that?

  • @AntiChinksFederation

China is Creditor of USA now because China borrow money to USA about $ 700 billions ( China took US government bonds for borrow money ). Your China financial knowledge is very weak and out of date. Are you sleeping ?

  • @AntiChinksFederation China minimum salary per month will surpass American in 2020 because China economic growth is 10 % per year and USA is only 3 % per year . China has foreign Reserve fund $ 2 Trillion and US has $ 13 Trillion in Debt. China and Chinese are Rich Guys and American people are Poor Guys now .

  • @AntiChinksFederation Chinese in China minimum salary is US $ 600 per month now and American minimum salary is only $ 1100 per month ( minimum wages is $7.25 per hour in New York = $ 1100 per month ). I know these facts because I live in China for 10 years and I live in New York , USA for 11 years. So Chinese salary only 2 times lower than American but not 10 times. Your facts are out of date and wrong.

  • @AntiChinksFederation

You registered you tube from China .So You are muslim and Tibetan terrorist and traitor of China if you are muslim and Tibetan in China. You are traitor of Chinese and China if you are Chinese.

  • @AntiChinksFederation Country wealth depend on How many people can buy cars every year but not depend on GDP per Capita. 13 million Chinese buy cars every year since 2009 but 10 million Americans buy cars every year in 2009. So Who is more rich?

  • Americans blow so much money on beer, football, basketball players, wars, corruption, and welfare that they dont have money for anything else. We get taxed everything here in America to even the basic needs, your not getting away and yet Managers are getting paid in millions compare to a worker 8/hr. Its unemployment checks are just keeping lazy americans from getting work. Its time to put that money into jobs like China is doing right now.

  • @spike378

you are right. America spend too much money on sports.

  • @spike378

China is communist is only name now .

  • @andyhwang2009

American Government should ban American corporations and companies who are shipping jobs to India and China and other oversea countries because there are many unemployed people in USA now.

  • China is Industrialized country and Developed and First World country now. 19th century for UK, 20th Century for USA and 21st century for China.

  • China will have 500km/h regular service trains in 5 years, or about 310 mph if you don't use metric, the first test run will happen next March.

Then again, America is a democracy, so unlike China, Americans have the freedom to live in the 20th century forever.

  • @dagnemrth

China is communist is only name now .

  • @AntiChinksFederation let us get together in real life and fight. are u game bitch???

  • @AntiChinksFederation At least the government here in China is serious about reducing the emissions of greenhouse gasses, not like in the States where Obama had to start from zero again with his Climate plan because now he has Republicans who'll stand in his way thanks to the midterm elections.

  • @AntiChinksFederation this guy is a viettard. viet monkey retard. hahaha

    die bitch. ^+^

  • @rainyday2005

This AntiChink Federation guy registered you tube from China but I think he is not Chinese and Vietnamese . I think he is muslim terrorist in Xinjiang, China or Tibetan terrorist from Tibet.

  • America MUST develop a sophisticated HSR system in order to stay competitive, modern and simply respectable in the eyes of the world. High speed rail is fast, efficient and ecological mode of transport which can move massive amounts of people from A to B fast. It costs alot but it would make a good sense to invest one of the US "stimulus packages" into something like this instead of just ordinary consumption. Apart from creating employment it would also create an amazing new mode of transport.

  • @AntiChinksFederation Well, sorry to disappoint you that my country too wish to improve it's mass-transportation system by learning from Europe, China and Japan.

Pollution still exist in China, that's a fact. But what happen if things started to improve. And what excuse you'll have at that time?

  • I'm so, so jealous of China right now. Canada is 5 times worse than the states when it comes to infrastructure. We only have on commercial train that charges insane fees (via rail), half our roads and highways are falling apart; christ, you're better off going through the states to get to Manitoba if you're in southern Ontario. Our saving grace is that we have one majour highway that connects most of Canada.

  • @AntiChinksFederation And because of cars and trucks, our cities across the globe are cover by smog, ignorant freak.

  • @AntiChinksFederation I would assume that trains are cheaper.

  • @JOHNLENNONWINZ

Right. Train Ticket price also cheaper than Airplane ticket and Trains are Safer than Airplanes .

  • @JOHNLENNONWINZ

right. train tickets are cheaper than plane tickets.

  • Beijing-Shanghai high speed rail: 820 miles (1320 km) at 235 mph (380 km/h) in 4 hours and 30 minutes, with 80 kWh per passenger (equivalent to 2.2 gallons (8.3 liters) of gasoline).

  • America has peaked. That bridge over Mississippi that collapsed a couple of years age is just the beginning of the end of American infrastructure. But the world will not care, as the only things made in America it needs are made in Hollywood, Silicon Valley and Seattle. Oh yes, American corn and soy beans are also appreciated.

  • @AntiChinksFederation A simple reason:

    REDUCE POUULTION AND INCREASE EFFICIENCY.

Do you know that the period of time spent in taking trains and planes to travel are very closed? Since no check-in is needed when using train service. Also the density of train is so high that you don't need to wait for a long time to board.

  • @FyzikalKemizt It's not the main problem.

The main problem is that the car makers will be affected GREATLY after the HSR network is built in US, therefore the state gains tiny support.

To solve this problem, somebody may have to persuade car makers to transform to make train and rails (?).

  • @ChiefAdministrator

    you right.

  • I think US doen't need high speed railway . Boeing made super good planes for all US people..and it more comfortable to take the plane

  • @legendcitizen more comfortable?! have you traveled by train?

  • @arna11420

right. People more like to travel by Train because they can view beautiful mountains, trees , towns , cities on the way.

  • @legendcitizen Europe has made Airbus as well, so do they abandon their high speed train?

  • @legendcitizen

I think US need Bullet train now because Train more save Gasoline than people own cars and Airplane.

  • Meget bra innslag. Om 18 mnd. har Kina 42 høyhastighetslinjer. USA får sin første høyhastighetslinje i 2014 som vil traffikere strekningen Tampa og Orlando i delstaten Florida.

  • US problem is lobbist promotion for defense spending, in z modern world, there is no need 750 oversea millitary bases. What for? Cold war mentality is history

Close them all and build america

  • I like how she just ASSUMES the Federal Government would have to give us high speed trains.

  • China is kicking the US's ass in energy efficient transport thus will have a strategically greater trade advsantage. You just have to look at what the Rep. wanna be Gov Snott walker is saying against kinda-High speed rail to know what a pickle the good 'ol US is in, what a jerk. He doesn't want a FREE HSR line cos it may divert funds from building more highways.

  • Heck nobody can compare with our freeways, peecups, cheap gas and package stores -- hell that's the 'merican way!

  • @mujaku

you wrong. Train more save gasoline than Cars for future country. So We don't need to depend on Saudi Arabia oil . We should not give money to saudi for oil because Saudi support Muslim terrorist who are making USA and Europe to Islamic countries.

  • Chinese building high speed rail way cuz we have a large population to transport so it is a nessesity. Have to releas the presure of transport anyway.

  • That kind of high-speed rail development in China can only be done in a country where public opinion are not taken into consideration. Building in China is like playing SimCity, you can do what you want.

  • @Ryankkw Which is actually more benefiting.

  • @ManjuSu Ya, its more benefiting for the economy and progress, but imagine your 100 years old family house being knock off and you and your family being forcefully relocated to some other place to make way for railway, highway, or some villas for the close friends of the party. Don't take me wrong, I'm just concern about some people's welfare, compensation, and most importantly freedom.

  • @Ryankkw Then there would practically be no highspeed-rail. Building a HSR line in China involves building hundreds of bridges and tunnels given the geographical situation and building a HSR line doesn't actually involve knocking down a 100 years old family house since the lines themselves go through vast rural farms etc.

  • @Ryankkw You are right on that, but it's called differently in China, namely PROGRESS!

  • @gudi1982 One day China will suffer from this progress, history repeats itself, the mighty Tang dynasty and any of the Chinese previous dynasty had its zenith, but because of lack in care of the common people, every single dynasty ends in people's revolt.

  • @Ryankkw Well yes & no, in America government forces highways through.

  • @Ryankkw Sometimes planning is a good thing, and it's something that the American gov't has failed at miserably the last few decades, aside from building a giant stockpile of weapons we'll never use.

  • Comment removed

  • she sounds retarded

  • Comment removed

  • Some people always say, if high speed rail makes money, somebody in the private sector would have already build it. I say....if USA's military makes money, somebody in the private sector would have already field a Army-Air Force-Navy-Marine and charge Americans monthly protection fee. Since I already have my automatic weapon, I don't need protection, why do I have to pay tax dollar for US military's service?

  • If a high speed rail system will do away with air transport, then go for it. Else it is just another dumb idea. How about instead of commuting 100 miles to work, get a job closer to home or move to the city you work in. No, that sounds too much like common sense.

  • 1:55, U.S. will have 42 HSR lines....eventually. By that time, Chinese will have regular flights between Earth and the Moon, USA's coastal waters will be filled with oil spills.

  • @merakhagen LMFAO!

  • vietnam is also going to build a high speed train but it cost a lot of money_56 bn usd

  • US is still the only superpower in the world. China is only a student in front of US. But we are working hard and steadily making progress.

  • @Seasue yeah china needs to learn how to conduct mass murdering in some Muslim countries first....lol

  • Theres no way to build high speed train in US cuz the average weight of american is 280 lbs. imagine a train loaded with 8000 passengers.. thats over 1000 tons...almost heavier than the train itself...fast train will become slow train....american needs to work together to loose weight first.

  • @diuleeseafood LMFAO!

  • @Bravesfan4500 r u one those fat passengers.....how much do u weigh..i weigh 260 lbs

  • @diuleeseafood No I am a pretty small dude. I am 5'7 and weigh 155

  • @diuleeseafood That's the dumbest statement I've ever heard in my life. The average weight for men in 185 lbs and for women it's 140 lbs.

  • i love the way she says "billion", i half expect a monocle to pop out of her eye.

  • Well, what do you expect, Chinese government the land in China. It takes them fraction of the time to build infrastructure. If NIMBY don't move, Chinese government use both carrot and "stick" on them.

  • Screwball..Chinese government "own" the land in China.

  • Say all you will about china's political system/leaders but you have to give credit where its due. When it comes to infrastructure building, there's no one better than china but then again what would you expect of the people who built the great wall. Good for china, showing the rest of the world how to walk instead of just talk.
