I'm a brony that has mostly just watched FiM. Gen 1 isn't as bad as most people claim. No, it wasn't well made (bad animation and bad voice acting) and the characters were two dimensional. But the storylines were generally interesting. I can see why Faust liked it growing up.

And to all other FiM fans giving retarded comments about how bad it is, just don't watch it if you don't like it. Acting like trolls just gives all of us a bad name.

I used to love this show alot...but one thing that REALLY annoyed me about this episode was that THEY NEVER HAD SHADOWS IN THE FIRST PLACE D:< plot = ruined. Taking into consideration the animation technology they had then wasn't exactly amazing but even so, if they couldn't generate shadows then don't have the narrative focus around this.

I was a child in the 90's and just had to look uo what FIM is...I had no idea My Little Pony is still going on, and I have to say the new version is crap. IMO the hand drawn animations, not just My Little Pony but everything else, are much better than the computer generated nonsense they show kids these days. The colours are much better and brighter and it's clear that more thought has been put into the traditional cartoons, not just visually but story wise too.
