  • LMAO

  • " Birmingham , way to the north west" !

  • Comment removed

  • It isn't just not knowing where towns are; they don't know the difference between West and East, North and South.

  • Didnt know Leeds was in north Peterborough :S You'd think id have seen it..

  • wow i love it how the only similarity they could think of between nothern england the midlands and sothern england is that they all have mosques in them

  • Well it is a bit unfair to test the geography skills of Americans when it comes to English cities. After all 30% can't even point out America on a map.

  • Why the f*&k was my comment removed, it was neither insulting nor did it contain expletives.... it was actually quite educational.. what a bunch of c*&ts

  • faux news

  • Lol

  • This could be why only about 20% of Americans have a passport... They have no idea where anywhere is! Holy moley - this is a NEWS channel??? Thank God for the BBC and ITN! I might even renew my licence!

  • Poster of this vid also got it wrong, too. Leeds didn't become Grimsby. Grimsby's further north, on the coast. Leeds became more like Grantham/Boston.

It looked promising at first. London was right...ish. As was Birmingham (ish). But I facepalmed at 'east london', lost the will to live at 'Leeds', and the rest was just snowballed into an avalanche of fail.

  • who knew there was just one mosque in the whole of England.

  • I like how they're trying to make Mosques sound all evil..

The average Fox News patriots response:

"Oooh a Mosque! big bad scary place where terrorists go to plan attacks on 'Amuurrrica' and 'Isreeel"

    lol

  • apart from the geography...what were they trying to say or prove...a bloody mystery i got confused with the red circles usa news is very wierd

  • Did you film this with a cardboard box

  • @ThroughRock that or a potato

  • What Lol is this there news.

  • hahaha too funny

  • Oh Jesus, this is the dumbest thing I've ever seen Fox do :D

  • Leeds is in Hertfordshire now eh? Could have sworn I drove past it in Yorkshire on Sunday? You would be surprised how many Brits don't know where Wales is let alone Leeds!

  • You have the President saying that the embassy that was rioted in Iran was the English Embassy & that he has spoken to President Cameron. When talking about the Queen they refer to her as the Queen of England, something that we have nor had for 200 yrs also what gets me mad is when they call our accents British Accents we have 4 countries in the UK, they is no such thing as a British accent. Just do your homework & give respect to countries that are your allies.

  • I have watched Fox news & once saw that they said that Birmingham was in London & that the Queen was the Queen of England. Also that Wales was a CITY not a country. et they never try to hide the fact and Fox news is owned by Rupert Murdoch who also owns media in the UK.

  • You've moved Grimbsby to Grantham mate.

  • This does give one the impression that there's a town called Buckinghamshire.

  • Leeds??? haha I had to listen to that several times to make sure I heard it right wtf?? lol this is a news channel??? lol!!! (From Leeds)

  • when they said pakistan, they meant to say bradford!

  • Given that the map has Wales on it anyone calling this a map of England is an idiot. Plus you can see a bit of Scotland and Northen Irlenad so it's kind of a map of the UK. Not a map of England anyway.

  • I've got to start watching american news!

  • this is a map of England not Great Britain. Oh dear me America- you never fail to amaze me. Yet i can name all 50 states ha ha ha and all the presedints back to Grover Cleveland.

  • @JoliePitt1000

You've wasted your time learning that then.

  • this is obviously fake not even US news doesn't lie that much

  • Wow our train n bus services must be getting better if Leeds is all the way down there. It takes me hardly no time to get to Leeds from Manchester, though at least 2 HRS to get down there lol.

  • Fucking... looooooool

  • why is Leeds been moved to hull?

  • @IAMTHESHITEHAWK you are even more stupid its not hull

  • @Carus92 it's very close to hull! if you got a map you would see its around hull/Grimsby, there are no other cities near by! the next one would be Cambridge! you don't even know what Leeds is you yanky moron!

  • @IAMTHESHITEHAWK No it's not. I'm not American. I'm English. I have a friend who goes to Uni Of Hull. Ive been there. You are wrong. Cambridge? What are you on about. Iv been to Leeds Festival. I know where it is too. You are stupid.

  • ROFL Is this guy's audience a bunch of five year olds? Is he on before the Muppet Show or something?

  • I can imagine the conversation in the fox news studio

"hey, where abouts do I put the circle for high wycombe?"

"who cares. just stick the words 'high wycombe' above any part of that map and i'm sure they'll understand the news story"

  • I live in Leeds!

Well.. I thought so, but looking at this map I must be wrong =/

  • is leeds a nice place ? ive seen pictures and it looks brilliant. i want to go there for university ?

  • @RobertBedfordVEVO I think it is a great city. It's great for shopping and partying. I used to go to plenty of house parties too. It can be expensive especially on weekends but if you look hard enough there are some good cheap places too. The University is supposed to be high ranking so i've heard.

  • a good :) especially good for the night life. can't wait to go

  • @RobertBedfordVEVO I go to uni in Leeds and it's awesome.

  • can't wait to go then :) from what ive seen, it looks looks amazing

  • This is Fox News, people... this sort of thing is to be expected from them.

  • americans never cease to amaze me with the bollocks they come up with when they talk about anything regarding britain

  • Who the hell moved Birmingham to the North west that's what I want to know!

  • LOL the way they say BuckinghamSYYRE ... xD

Seriously, how ignorant some American's can be really bugs me!

And oh dear, their geography is terrible!

  • @FireflyFanatic3

to be fair to American's if they asked me to mark Chicago or Detroit on a map i wouldn't have a clue.

  • @JoshRobertson142 yeah, neither would I, but I don't expect the average American to know where all the cities in England are. I do expect that of an official news report! ...lol

  • @JoshRobertson142 but if the BBC showed a map they would get it right

  • @JoshRobertson142 Well its easy, Chicago is North east Illinois and Detroit is east Michigan

  • @02dartda

99% of brits wouldn't know that.

  • Jesus!...tell me this ignorant fuck isn't SERIOUS?!

  • Leeds isn't on the East coast...

  • One World "Luton"

  • @123smellyass agh that would be the republic of luton

  • Living in Nottingham, I'm worried we may get inadvertently bombed by US Forced who mistake us for Leeds.

  • @jonboyjon1976 Yup, I'm from Nottingham too, I had to facepalm when I saw their geography was right off, they need to use google maps xD

  • leeds is further up in the centre you numpty

  • "Buckingham-shy-er", "Birming-HAM" lol.

  • Thats pretty funny. For a start High Wycombe is in Buckinghamshire. Wycombe is a town Bucks is the county its in. And I love when he says "east of London" and draws a circle to the South

  • @MarshallLore yeah...sigh...talk about mixed up...me..oh I am in the peoples republic of Cornwall..probably get nuked next week...we have had a softening up period with drones..and more recently they took out RNAS Culdrose...mind you no hardware there its all in helmand province.....thats just north of Watford

  • For any Americans watching, that's not Leeds. Leeds is above the K of 'United Kingdom'.

  • I'm from High Wycombe, at first I was filled with pride as I saw them label my town, then I realised what they were speaking about... uh oh!!

  • Oh my sweet jesus....that was aired?!

  • No... that is a map of England.

  • bah. hut. i don't even.

  • also could you imagine (those of you who know the yorkshire area) what this guy would think if he ever had to report on news from bradford?

  • i live in leeds and just looked out the window and can confirm that leeds is not near the wash and can be found a lot further north than that county size circle on his map indicated.... this geography lesson was presented by fox news in the land of the free and home of the whopper

  • lived in leeds my whole life and i never realised how close i lived to norwich! if i didnt know better i would actually think fox news was a joke

  • @tomholt112233 That's because it is. Unfortunately many millions of Americans watch it and believe what is being broadcast is news and not propaganda.

  • @chockiemoo yes,not like the BBC.

  • [disclaimer: this IS a joke] I think we should totally go to war with the US. They'd never find us to retaliate.

  • @kingquaps Brilliant!

  • How can anyone be THAT stupid?

  • How can anyone be THAT stupid?

  • he canni say birmingham

he said birming ham its pronuced birminghem

  • Holy shit, I lived in Leeds for six years - I had no idea it was so near Leicester or I'd have visited!

  • Bahahahahaahah lol

  • uuuuurgg Fox uuuuuurrgh Newsuuuuurgh .

  • LEEDS!!???? hahahaahahahahahahahahahahah!!!!!!!

  • Wtf? Leeds is definitely not there.

  • if the yanks ever tried to invade us, they'd be fucked when landing anywhere near Blackpool or the North East.

Not to mention scotland and Wales.

  • Jesus, that Mosque is huge.

I guess the arrow at the end was to help the American audience get their bearings:)

  • Did he say LEEDS?

  • The fact that no one at Fox News thought to check an atlas before letting this go on air is absolutely staggering, and the anchor man also seems to be completely unaware of the difference between east and south. Clearly having an IQ that reaches double figures is not a requirement for working at Fox.

  • Birmingham in the north west?

  • Hahahahaha, the way the guy says "Buckinghamshire"...

  • So we have a map of Britain, excludes Scotland and Northern Ireland, calls Birmingham the Northwest of Britain, Leeds is now in ''Buckingham-shy-er'', Norfolk is now ''Buckingham-shy-er''. Jesus Christ.

  • @Snagprophet The pronunciation is all the more odd when you consider that one of the states is New Hampshire - which nobody on either side of the ocean would ever pronounce as HAM-SHY-ER.

  • In BuckinghamshIre!

  • "East of London." Proceeds to circle the south.

  • I am from offensive, and I find this Leeds.

  • @luiginewbould That's good, because they didn't find Leeds.

  • Even the mainstream media over in the USA is as dumb and ignorant of world geography as the overwhelming majority of passport-less Americans generally. On a TV news report CNN showed a map of the UK on which London, the capital city of the UK had mysteriouly been transported over 100 miles north north east of its true location & Londoners woke up to find that they now lived in the middle of Norfolk. A Fox News map indicated that the city of Leeds was near Cambridge now & not in Yorkshire.

  • "one that was east of London" *circles south*

  • wow fox news, to be fair i never really new where leeds or birmingham or high wycombe is in relation to each other either, but if i wanted to know i could at least take the time to read a goddamn map instead of pinpointing them in random locations immediately.

  • Birminghams in the north west???????????????when did it move from the midlands?

  • We don't need these inbred, dark age savages with their finger on the button!!!! don't want iran having it either tbh ;)

  • But High Wycombe is in Buckinghamshire...... so this didnt make much sense......

  • @gazzaroth321 American ignorance

  • @gazzaroth321 I know, and he said funny lol. Wycombe i generally considered a city/town because of its popularity and size.

  • I love the fact Fox News believes that England appears to have only one Mosque and it's in Leeds and so must be the nexus of all terrorism in the UK.

  • @fanaticaluk Oh my god, I couldn't stop laughing. You sir have earned yourself 1 internet.

  • @fanaticaluk they don't even show a map of the UK they show a map of England and call it the UK

  • @fanaticaluk typical Americans , they probably think the far east is in East Anglia

  • @Mattyadams1984 Yes and the wash would be the dead sea

  • i'm from leeds and can assure you they placed the marker waaaay south, almost in Kings Lynn, search for yourself, fox news thick as fuck

  • well done america *clap clap clap clap clap*

  • They should really throw those WWII german maps away. Heheheheh

  • Leeds LMFAO

  • High wycombe, the worlds shithole...

  • Shall i cry or laught? that's a question.

  • ....

Shows how much they respect us, i say we take them over....... and educate them

They can't say shire properly either, i would kill myself being around how they talk within hours being in the states

Hate it when american tourists ask you directions, im just like whaaa? Pointed a few rude stuck up ones in the direction of proper rough areas before.. love it :P

  • OMG so funny to hear birmingham is north west and leeds was in the south about 70 mile from london, i must live in scotland then haha

  • I wonder how our American cousins would react if a British news team put LA and New York in the wrong places...

  • Are they actually this stupid

  • lol wow, try again Fox.

  • This helps to explain all those friendly fire mistakes ......

  • that was actually england.

  • hey come on...........he did count to five!

  • listening to that guy say "Buckinghamshire" and "Birmingham" is almost worse than the geography lesson *shudder*

  • Not sure what's funnier. Dumb american news channel's craptacular map, or the english people in the comments that mention how these cities are marked in the wrong places without mentioning the most obvious one of all. But then again, it is english people, so I'm not surprised.

  • Is this serious? Surely it isn't too difficult to just find a map and check where major cities are located (and distinguish between cities and counties)!

Can you imagine if somebody had tried to explain to them that the UK is actuall 4 different countries?

  • hahahaha rofl

  • Too be fair, if you asked your average Londoner where Leeds is, they'd probably put it in the same place.

  • @crapatev yeah, because most people in london are shamefully ignorant of the rest of the country in which they live. It really is a sorry state of affairs.

  • @crapatev The average Londoner is from Poland.

  • @crapatev Probably not.

  • more like fuck news than fox news

  • Bloody hell, that's news to me, I didn't realise the entire city of Leeds had moved to Lincolnshire.

  • @Davejf27 I wondered why I was so disorientated this morning!

  • Comment removed

  • LMFAO dumb American, you missed leeds by about 100 miles.

  • It isn't a map of England, its a map of North Pakistani and Somalian Union

  • "To the EAST of London" and then the circle points out the south -_-

I do not understand how a country can be so stupid.

  • this is a map of england...not britain

  • @razav350 ever heard of Wales?

  • What I think happened is that the guy in charge of drawing on the map had some understanding that Scotland was North and England was south of the border, and didn't want to accidentally go to high incase he hit scotland, so he thought - fuck it... I'll just surround London with all of my circles

  • Why is Birmingham in Bristol and Leeds in Ipswich-ish?

  • Buck-In-Ham-Shire haha.

  • And america are Britain closest fucking Allie, accept for Portugal

  • HAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH high wycombe is in bucks rtard and leeds ther?? hmmm then i guess thats scotland in the bottom right hand corner!!

  • @ThePaddypower15 Perhaps if it were we'd get warmer weather. :D

  • To be fair, 37% of Americans can't even identify their OWN COUNTRY on a map - and let's face it, this is Fox News' demographic we're talking about here - so how many are really going to notice that they missed the location of Leeds by about 100 miles?

  • Fucking stupid cunts.

  • was that an actual broadcast? You have to wonder who the fuck does the research into this lol a bet whoever it was is now in upper management

  • OMFG you idiots!

  • Wow, I never knew Leeds was in Lincolnshire!!

  • LOL idiots

  • Hmm with Fox, not sure if Troll or Very Stupid.

  • There's a mosque in my city. By FOX-logic, they're responsible for the last 5 snowstorms.

  • Haha, oh dear indeed. And they wonder why everyone thinks they're stupid.

  • i wouldnt complain if they moved leeds down there. no one likes leeds anyway

  • well funny lol

  • understandable why they shoot at british troops with apaches. They watch fox news.

  • I don't think I've laughed so hard in a long time. If true, does this means I can move the Scottish Border down to the Mersey-Humber line?

  • @ThomasTrue you can do whatever you like, the yanks wont know the difference ;-)

  • @shirtcreek True. I watched a BBC video once when they went on the streets of New York, gave members of the public a world map and asked them to pinpoint Scotland on it. Only a handful of them got it right. One guy had us up in Russia, another in the Mediterranean (I wish), and there was even one thought Japan was Scotland.

  • @ThomasTrue It's here, just add "Americans and the world map" in the YouTube search bar and you'll find the idiots......they're everywhere as it says in the film :-)

  • @ThomasTrue ; seems like a great idea.

  • Birmingum not birmingHAM

  • i like that leeds is shown to be near lincoln...............

  • Leeds is where? hahahahahahahaha

    Team America fook yeah.

The WW11 saying is true: "When the Germans bombed the English ducked, when the English bombed the Germans ducked but when the Americans bombed (2yrs after it all started) everyone ducked!"

  • @shirtcreek World War ELEVEN?

  • @Brikmaker567 So sorry, yes it should have been WWII but the yanks'll never know, they missed 1/2 of it and came in 2yrs late. Listening to thicko yanks makes me do stupid things like that sometimes....I lose the will to live when a nations news caster doesn't know where places are lol Thick as pigs, all of them:-)

  • @shirtcreek 3 years after it all started

  • @1starshot Yes, you're right, it was 3 years and 3 months give or take a day or two, that roughly equals 1,185 days....Thank you for correcting me, I wonder how many people could have been saved if they'd have joined in earlier?

  • @1starshot @shirtcreek ... Just (politely) pointing out that it was a World War and so, whereas fighting in the European theatre started in late '39, any history textbook, (without the prevailing 'popularist' American/British/European bias), will consider the start of WW2 to have been Japan's invasion of China on July 7th 1937. So our Chinese Allies could have legitimately said "I wonder how many peope could have been saved if the Brits had joined in earlier".
