no, you're right and you're wrong. pakistan is NOT a part of what traditionally known as the middle east. But sometimes it's lumped in (wikipedia Middle East), but so is a country like Somalia. It's borderline, but definitely no arab or persian would consider Pakistan a part of the middle east, nor would Pakistanis themselves. We are South Asian/Indian (the Indus river for which India is named runs through Pakistan) and nobody ever considers India a part of the Middle East.
