I've heard that too. On this one all the bulbs work though, even the optic auto-shutoff bulb inside the player. No idea if these are the original bulbs or not. I've read on the internet it's possible to replace them with lights used in a cars headlight. Some apparentely have the same rating and fitting. No idea if that's true or not, but as long as these lights still work I'm not gonna research that any further. :)
michael jackson for me was KING OF DISCO, to others he was king of pop or king of dance, it was his disco melodies which will remember him for those melodies will live on forever and ever
@paulonapolion WELL GO AND MAKE YOURSELF A TIME MACHINE AND GO BACK TO THE 60s! TOO BAD GET USED TO IT IT AIN'T THE 60s NO MORE! AND WORK ON YOUR GRAMMER AND WATCH YOUR MOUTH!
The platter should spin at exactly 33 1/2 RPM. Normally there is a strobe ring on the turntable mat, so you can check the speed under a 50HZ light (TL-light or you can use an older 50HZ CRT-television in a darkened room). There is a fine-tune setting to set the speed exactly to 33 1/2 RPM. But on my player the strobe ring is missing, so I can't check the speed. The higher pitch is probably due to my player spinning a little bit too fast.
Thanks though, I've set it slightly slower now ;-)
RIP Michael Jackson

The GA-212 was a great turntable, although they can be temperamental, especially if a bulb goes out behind the buttons.

pitch
ramiraptor 2 years ago
Yeah, it's too high. I had my turntable set a bit too fast. Not only is the pitch slightly higher, the song also goes slightly faster. My bad.

Vinyl was and will be always better than MP3 and CD bullshit, however...
Why is the sound higher pitched than it should be?

@Ceristimo1 i think you mean 33 1/3
from my basic knowledge, the two most popular speeds are 33 1/3 and 45 RPM
