Second, here's a tip. Bait the rats by hanging smelly peanut butter, off a tree branch, on the leaves and even on the branch itself. The rats will come out at night smelling food and they'll never find it. You can take your time popping at least 2 off in the same session.
Awesome shots...I don't really think you need to 'justify' shooting rats though. On my property here in the states (I'm a british ex-pat) I;m in a constant battle with everything from rats to groundhogs to ground squirrels trying to destroy everything.
Luckily, I can use a 12 gauge or my .22LR rifle to take them...but I still like to snipe with an air rifle occasionally...for old times sake :-)

She's not trying to set any world records she is trying to control the vermin that is destroying her property so you recommend that she backs up 20 or 30 yards then try to shoot the rats? jeez some people.
She is also limited to 12 ft lbs of muzzle energy in the UK so the closer the better and I have an air force condor that I use a 16 grain pellet that still has more energy at 100 yards than they are allowed to start out of the muzzle with in the UK.
I competed in FORSCOM during my 6 year military career and used iron sights and I'm impressed with her accuracy using a makeshift NV setup just think what she could do with a gen 3 or gen 4 NV scope and a condor/talon or edgun
If you think I believe you could shoot a rats brains out at 45yards with iron sights you are a moron, I would have to see you do it before I would believe it.

the best way to zero in a scope is with a bore sighter laser. they make them to fit as low as .177 all the way to .50 cal. you can find them at wal-mart for about 20-40 bucks. or spend all day shooting and zeroing
They do unbelievable damages...I was desperate before I start shooting 'em. They killed my little ducks despite they were in the cage, they eat all our nuts and fruits, bites our rabbits and bring 'em all the deseases. They refuses the poison because the lot of meal around and those fuckin idiots of my neighbours killed my cats with poison for a mistake...Shooting 'em is the only way!!!

Very nice video. I have rats in my chicken and guinea pig enclosures and I'm pretty sure the rats terrorise the chickens as I find a lot of feathers scattered around the enclosure. The rats also climb the ramp up into the guinea pig hutch, but no sign of the rats attacking the guinea pig yet. 5*
nice shooting snypercat but dont feel you have to justify why you shoot rats as anyone with a little intelligence should know they are vermin. 50% of the wild rat population carry weils disease at least thats what I have read (correct me if I am wrong anyone) Farm where I shoot rats has hundreds in the winter if not thousands at their peak. This time of year they are very brazen out in daylight
Nice vid. Too short though. I read (in Fun Facts) that small mammals are quick enough to react to gun fire before they are actually hit. It is great that you have demonstrated that via video. It's terrible that they attacked the guinea pig. And, some people support wild rats!
