Hey your really good :D I just started disc golfing like a month and a half ago and I have been watching your videos because there great to just watch and learn :) My dad has just started playing again when i did. He used to play every day like 10 years ago. But now, im beating him like every game :) Thanks for the videos
Welcome to the sport! I am glad that you find the videos valuable to your own disc golfing experience. Great to see that you and your Dad are enjoying the sport together. I hope to play some rounds with you and your Dad someday. thanks for checking in!
Thanks for the kind words and that is a great a great question. My first Ace was the most memorable but I have had so many fond memorable Aces and ones that even amazed me. But even the simplest and shortest routes still thrill me for I love the sport.
It is a honor to be able to share my disc golf adventures with good people like you. Thanks for your kind words. All the nice people that have positive comments uplift me and make me want to play even more often than I do.
Advanced congrats on #400, Cubby! Hope we get to see the moment on video. My friends and I just started disc golfing last summer and are totally obsessed, but Michigan is a pretty good place to be addicted. You ever been out to catch any rounds out here? I hear Flip City is like disc golf mecca, but we haven't made our way up there yet.
Thanks for the advaced congrats! Say hi to all of your friends. I love Disc Golf in Michigan. My first Worlds was in 2000 in Michigan. loved played the course out there. Keep in touch!
MAN your crazy good, i got my 1 and only ace when i was 12, hooked it around a tree and then you hear the sounds of the chains rattle, i was so excited, now 17 i i havent got close again
to add to this right after i did it my uncle aced it too
i play in washington, in a small town called lake stevens, maybe if u travel at all this way you should hit our course up
Nothing wrong with one Ace. There are many good disc golfers that do not have many aces. Some players play the course to maximize their scoring chances. Going for an Ace gets you a great score if you hit the Ace but more often costs you strokes by going for it umless you are a good long range putter. Keep having fun out in Washington. Someday I hope to get out that way, but my current job limits my ability to travel.
I do. I love the discraft FLX plastic. I have 3 FLX Buzzz's in my bag, a crystal Buzzz and a FLX Surge. I also have a ESP Comet and a stratus in the bag.
I just got my first ace today at my home course. Crooked Creek 4 star rated on DGC. It was the first hole and have parked about 10 out of last 15 times. Finally got it. I was just wondering I do have another ace, but I did it on a 2nd shot for pratice would you count that as one or not? Thanks love your videos.
Way to go Cubby....im still working on my first one yet. came close a few weeks ago. Hit the bottom of the basket. Im still trying and trying and still having fun with it. Go Cubby Go!
only an hour 34 after your last one. Do you usually get them in multiples during most trips to the course? Also how long do you play for during your night stints? I know when I find time, I go for at least 2 rounds.
Thats Crazy! You inspired me to continue playing Frisbee Golf this summer and lead me to get a Black Jax light up frisbee! I played for the first time at night the other day and it was amazing fun!
Whenever my friends and I go disc golfing we always joke around about how you are the greatest player ever and how you could hole in one every hole at our course!
Keep playing great and putting up new videos! I love watching them!
It's always great to hear that someone is inspired by my Disc Golf play. Glad to hear that you are enjoying Night Disc Golf. I am no where near a great player but I will gladly step up to being one of the most passionate players and thankful for the blessing of playing this awesome sport. Say hi to your friends and thanks for your very kind words! I hope to throw some rounds with you someday.
well wat do u kno i was throwing it today. that disc skips like 50 feet every time i throw it. But i'll tell you wat, that is a SUPER overstable disc.
what is the most aces youve thrown in one day?
boredskating 2 years ago
Great question. The answer is on the pirate flag you see in my videos. 6 stars on the flag representing 6 aces in one day.

Now that I am 50, I contemplate what the last Ace number will be. 400 would be sweet for sure.

It would be fun to play night golf, but I think i would lose a lot of disc. I have usually 1 time I take 5-10 mins to find a disc.

Congrats on your second Ace! Nothing wrong with counting a practice Ace towards your own personal total. Thanks for the kind words!

When you get closer to 400, you should definitely set your camera up on every hole to make sure you get your 400th disc golf hole in one on video.
championdger 2 years ago
Great idea. I will have to plan a trip to acourse where every hole merits setting up the video in hopes of getting 400 on camera.

Hey Cubby, I was just curious as to how much you've spent on all of your discs, having retired all those you've aced with?
sherp2u 2 years ago
Good question. Not sure how many discs were purchased versus how many won during events. It is quite a collection.

Sometimes you get in a groove a strike multiple times. I like to play as many rounds as I can. I call in exhaustion training.

Hey cubby do you ever throw sidearm for any reason? to get out of trouble? or do you stick with your backhand at all times
Speedeefeet 2 years ago
I can throw right and lefty backhand but can throw sidearm for short and midrange, a broken elbow in 1974 does not let me throw lond righty sidearms.
