The main problem is that Nemo wasn't written for Anette. Tarja has a much different tembre, her voice is more powerful. Anette just can't keep up with the song. She sounds fine in poet and the pendulum or amaranth or whatever

I think nightwish are better with Anette. She's a completely different type of singer but she gives something different to them. I don't think she can sing the same songs that Tarja can sing, nor can Tarja sing the same that Anette can. Look at The Islander for instance, do you think Tarja could take the step back and let marco sing? not a chance! Amaranth is a better song with Anettes type of vocals. Anette brings change and variation to nightwish!

@LadyEleanor05 Definately! Nightwish is an awesome band with Tuomas' unbelievable synthesizer play and songwriter skills, Emppu's guitar solos and Marco's bass backing and voice. But there are many really good bands out there. The only person who made this band unique was Tarja Turunen. Her voice is just incredible. Since she's gone, the band became mainstream. There's no thrill anymore listening to this band. I listen to the old Nightwish records and Tarjas solo records as well. Amazing!

Nemo was composed for Tarja.. if we look at Amaranth for example, Tarja would sound shit as the song is not suited for her voice... and Anette is a good singer... but Nemo is not a good song for her...
