Whoever told Amy Mac Donald she can sing needs to be locked away - the girl has a voice like a cry for help!!! I got 21 seconds into this clip and i had to stop her ruining one of my favourite songs. @seestadt99 Hi! You are right, this is a Scottish song, originally written in the 70s by Dougie MacLean who was born in Scotland. Caledonia is the old name for Scotland during Roman times.
