@TheSkateboarderGuy Nope. T3/T4 turbo's are the most commonly used turbo's today. It's a hybrid turbo. The housing of a T3 and the power potential of a T4. Not an ebay turbo. Open wastegate is also NOT ebay turbo.

@JohnOath14 Ya, at stock. Who really cares about racing stock though? If your a tuner then you know, nothing stays stock for long. A boosted tC is a whole different car. Justin chirico's 700+whp tC is not slow and he only has upgraded the rods and pistons. There's another guy in florida who is 760+whp with no sleeves and rods, pistons that he installed himself. A tC is only slow at stock.

@JohnOath14 Yea I had an eg6 with a built b18c swap. I decided to calm down with the racing and bought a TC grocery getter. TC is a really poor platform for mods. Its slow, heavy, and handles like a brick. But for getting around reliably its nice. I like my TC but would never consider modding it.

Current and I believe 4 time Unlimited FWD calss Redline Time Attack champs is World Racing's scion tC (also record holder for fastest FWD around various race tracks across the country). Let see who else, Dan Garnder in the Jackson Dawson Scion tC 2 time Endurance Racing champ. Um..what else, Tanner Foust podium finishes in the first year their tC was debut in Drifting. A 10sec FWD car, 10sec AWD car, 10sec RWD car.....all have one thing in common....they run 10secs. 10secs is quick is it not? So, what's the point in talking about drivetrain at that point? And not sure what your point was about what Foust DD either. What does that have to do with anything? Pretty sure Hubinette doesn't DD a Dodge Viper, or Kumakubo DD drives a RWD STI. Point?

disagree. first off, i have never seen a true 10 sec fwd-but that doesn't mean they don't exist. with that in mind i have never seen an acceptable fwd launch or 60' time proportional to the run..the drivetrain limits the potential of the car and that alone could add a possible 5 tenths or more. also, my world isn't a quarter mile long-my best memories aren't street races but weekends at the canyons. the whack weight distribution and laughably frustrating torquesteer don't equate my idea of fun.

Huh? As suppose to a "fake" 10sec FWD? What's a fake 10sec FWD then? I'm so not following you right now.  You either run a 10sec 1/4 mile or you don't, there is no "True" or "Fake" 10sec timed run. If you don't like FWD that's one thing. And I think you have me wrong also. I'm not a straight line only guy. My tC is built for Time Attack. I ran in round #4 Nashville Super Speedway (which is my home track), this year. So make no mistake, I drive through corners as well. And that "laughably frustrating torquesteer" that you speak of.....That's what LSD's are made for. LSD = torquesteer killer. I know all about 300+whp/300+wtq in a FWD with one wheel burning. Not anymore though, as I have an LSD and it's great.

Also, you can check out either my own personal vids, or you can check out the favorites. Among the favorites you will find everything from a 10sec tC going up against a 10sec Subie. The PTuning Scion tC (which are the 2 time Modified FWD Time Attack champs), running the same lap times as a modded R35 GTR, and another vid of their tC passing an R35 through the corners.

cheap enough where you can make multiple tCs faster than the GTR for 75k(including cars and parts)... and thats being generous.

see the problem is people cant see the tC for what it is and always blame it for what its not. for a fwd 4 banger, it quickly picks up power and torque on low boost, and has good potential, relative to others in its class. but yea in the end, its most likely to be a daily driver as opposed to a nasty weekend car.

I believe the stock motor is able to handle up to 400+ hp... as for the tranny, the manual can handle close around there , the automatic won't last very long anywhere over 250whp
