  • Your description says u figured out what wasn't working with what u tried b4... or something? Was hoping u could share that with us, I'm having trouble even with a kick up & ur tutorial is in my favs, but I never can get inverted all the way to extend out my legs. Is this fear? Too weak still? I lift 8lb db's everyday but only see my arms getting huge without progression of this move. Maybe a practice move I don't know about to build strength/balance? I'd REALLY apprec8 ur guidance on this =)

  • I prefer the spray. you can find it at anIf youd like to get both the paste and spray its good to put the paste on your shoe when your working out that way you can simply reach down and apply more if needed!

  • AWESOME!! Karol, is there anything you use to make the pole less slippery? I've used rubbing alcohol on my towel to wipe it down, but it's still a lil slippery. My pole is also new, don't know if that helps.

  • Wow, that is fantastic. Looks way better than mine right now, and I still can't do the lift every time I try. But in fairness, I don't think the technique you were using before is inherently wrong as I think that would be required in order to do the aerial twisted lift, which is one of my goals; but what you're doing seems to be the smartest way to perform this move from the floor. Aarghh, it's all so technical!

  • It took me a hot minute to figure this move out too. The shoulder mount flip move took way less time to learn than this one, and that surprised me.

  • CONGRATS!!! For me, I learned it was all about the arm placement on the pole for just the right leverage, and to make sure that my body was sideways FIRST. I thought it was more about the ab strength, but once you get to a certain point, for me, it's all about the arms and pushing and pulling....The phoenix is my next thing to try!!

  • yeah thats my next thing too.. i think i was starting with my hands too high, also i was trying to lift my feet off the floor before bringin my hips up.

  • Nice work!

    I'm sure that you can pull that one off with your upper thumb down, but then you need to twist your hip bit more before you start the pull. So on your second lift in this vid, your bellybutton should point at your fan before your lift, if your upper thumb is down.

    You need less time to prepare with that grip, and that one is quite easy to pull off straight from the pole:-)

  • yeah, that would be a true flag lift.. the one im doing is a 'twisted' grip lift. that one is def easier to get into, but harder to lift i think.. thanks!!

  • I've been working on the spin into the tg lift, thats a fun one, i've gotten it successfully a few times now :-) I love it. Now I just need to work my left side.........

  • I was dragging the little timer dot back over and over index 00:43 --watching you freeze that TG hold for a few seconds, feeling around, looking for the touch point. Then you rotated your hips and bent those legs back into a perfect reverse twisted lunchbox-- ha ha SMILING at us mere mortals down here on the ground. That was some serious twisted lifting going on up in the Redke attic! Congratulations, Karol! Seeing things like this just makes me want to keep trying...
