  • So weird, I'd never seen the DM in this video before and in the same night I just stumbled upon the Dwarven Forge miniatures sets and he's the one that created it.

  • 8:42

Thin, bearded retired adventurer. He used to be an adventurer...'till he took a dragon to the face.

  • 0:54 ".....There are no winners, just losers."

  • @DontBeARandy Yeah, if it's Tomb of Horrors.

  • Playing DnD by candlelight is VERY entertaining!! I have DMed many games like that and it seems to draw out even more imagination from all involved!! I highly recommend playing by candlelight; especially if the adventure is set underground or at night. Lots of fun to be had by all!!

  • I think this game is best played in a room lit only by candles. The atmosphere would be amazing.

  • Ah old school gaming I remember it well. I don't care much for 4.0 if I wanted to play Warcraft I would. I ran one character once a month for close to ten years. Good times I won't have again.

  • DM is going I have them: the group is going " I can't believe some idiot has us guarding beer... evil maniacal laugh here.

  • "They would always end up killing each other" LOL

  • anyone in south florida want to get a D&D gaming group together?

  • DnD girls freak me out

  • So if you're a DM, this game can pretty much consume your life? The map construction alone looks like it takes hours. Those illustrations by the half-ork guy are incredible, what an amazing imagination he must have. I'm afraid I don't have the imagination to even be a player character :(

  • @delryn256 bollocks, everyone has an imagination. Essentially D&D is a story, the Dungeon Master is creating the basics of the story the players are writing it too and participating in it. If you have the slightest bit of imagination you can play D&D :) give it a go see if you like it!

  • first off the dm is not always your friend i know dms who LOVE to try and get a tpk, does anyone else know a dm like this im sure you do!!!!

  • what's with the chocolates? 1:34

  • hmm if i ever played d and d i would play in a dark area

  • All skill is in vain when the DM has an evil grin... and a beer.

  • @Lukiel666

    haha! shit made me laugh

  • i would suck at this game.

  • 0:57 - Beer and bananas... mm-mmm.

  • hey, my first quest began with a caravan too!

  • 1:33. what is the chocolate candy supposed to be?

  • Yeah, it's first edition AD&D, the only true version of D&D in my opinion.

  • @pspboy7 The only true version yes, the only fun version no.

  • @pspboy7 First edition I started with too but its hardly the best.Characters end up virtually identical barring random magic item rolls and there are a LOT of clunky arbitrary rules. Not that clunky arbitrary rules dont exist in every version but its worst in 1st ed.Lets not even get into the 20 or so pages in the front of the DMG dealing with infectious disease or the stupidly complex unusable chart for hand to hand combat

  • lol, the guy with the beard is so wondering "wtf, i remember this game being fun?"

  • 6:07 hahahaha epic

  • Those maps are freaking legit.

  • Lol, this guy is crazy! "There will be no talking out of character." Man, that's half the fun! What's wrong with these guys? :P

  • I really love the idea of the dominant recessive genes and having the character's children stats based off of that. Now if only my players could live long enough to implement that.

  • I've been playing D&D for 4 years. Started with 3.5, LOVED it...I now own every book for every edition and I'm only 14! Tomorrow is the first day of D&D at school, and we're using AD&D First Edition, I'm so happy that the game is still played!

  • The DM is just as much of a douche as the rest of the assholes in this group (minus the normal guy with the beard)..and the biggest loudmouth assohle is the guy rolling the die and making sound effects and talking in a voice that sounds like he had a fucking stroke!

  • I was a DM. I really miss going to buy a new module and tearing open that plastic covering and not letting my buddies near it...EVER. Sitting on the shitter for an hour with those modules. Then they just stopped making them and I was never the same since.

  • D&D rulez!

  • god i hate these douchebags at 0:35 they give real gamers a bad name...i have been playing for 30 years and i hate when people "act out" there character...espically people like that rodney douche or the cunt doing the pisspoor british accent!

  • i love adnd.

  • i need that screen!

  • I like both DND and Pink Floyd

  • @americanwarrior32 D+D and Pink Floyd.......BOTH ARE FUCKING AWESOME!

  • 1e AD&D - the *best* D&D.

  • 3:46 the expxession is "Christ, my group's a bunch of assholes"

  • @LysergicAaron the guy with the beard is thinking the same thing

  • 0:59 are they playing 3.5 of 1?

  • First edition AD&D it looks like. In part 1 they used terms like "magic-user" and "fighting-man," and one of the girls had a thief ability percent table.

  • @TheVillainOfThisTale no "fighting man" in first edition. OD&D you mean.

  • @TheVillainOfThisTale Or simply take a look at the book. It's clearly ADD.

  • Is playing as the DM fun?

  • I´d sure say so; it´s also quite a bit more work than "just" playing a character. Not everyone enjoys it, but I think every player should try it at least once. I love DMing for my group :)

  • Thanks for the info! :D

  • hard, but fun, yes but not solo

  • hard work but yeah, really fun if you're the creative type.

  • I have a love/hate relationship with DMing or GMing depending on the game you are using (Dungeon Master/Game Master). I love making house rules, and crafting unique settings. I love having something to do when I'm not playing, and that makes it great for filling down time. I do however get burned out sometimes, and a little stressed out over time. I worry about the quality of the game, even though I'm told I'm good at it. In a perfect world I would alternate from player to GM. :)

  • i hear ya! :)

  • its different than a player but it is fun to master if it just did´nt take so much time to prepare a campaign it would be better

  • Damn right! Who wouldn't want complete control, even though ive neever played dnd much, i practically only just started playing and played thru like half an encounter cos in 4e the battles take ages. anyway being dm is fun but kinda hard, especially when noone else has any of the books.

  • yeah, but you need to be good describer, know the rules, and have alot of time to design youre own world

  • the one in the white who got the Crit is mental

  • Nat 20 yo!

  • Nice one man :D
