This is the def the start of the "golden" age. They finally figured out that dark skin women (toni & maya) should not be wearing red lipstick and blue eyeshadow or diff variations of that. Plus this is when all the characters started to develop more. I still cannot watch the episodes without JMJ.
This episode (to me) starts the "golden" age of Girlfriends. This episode in particular is a favorite because it introduced Todd and Monica--characters who would end up married to two of the main characters at some point in the show. As much as I ended up liking Monica, I would say the golden age ended when JMJ left the cast.
